Project Summary

Smart Fridge is a project that helps the human according to their busy life. When food is short or near to expire it notifies the people about the shortage of items. This project provides help to the people in their busy routine. It notifies on our mobile phones when food is short or near to expire. In this project we also make Android Application and make it able to notify on our mobile phones about the grocery status.

As we all use smart phones so it helps the people to remember the things about grocery status by notifying. So by seeing this notification we remember whenever the items are short or near to expire and this project much attract those people who are busy and do jobs and that have no time to check their Refrigerator.

In smart refrigerator project we will use sensors which are connected to device by Arduino.

•  These sensors put to every bucket of fruit, vegetables and eggs which will measure the weight and check whether there is shortage of food or there was any item which is near to expire.
• This helps us by sensing the weight of the items and time of the items that how much time will take this item in the refrigerator and gives alert on the mobile phone whether on the shortage of food or the food which is near to expire.
• We also make Android Application through which we get notifications on our mobile phones about the grocery status.
• This project also notifies the diet plan for healthy life.

• To design the hardware for grocery status.

Project Implementation Method

1. First we use the sensors that will connected to Arduino and make it possible that it will sense the weight of the items
2. The 3nu load cell sensors are used to calculate the weight
3. After all this we will design the mobile application that will give alerts on our mobile phones about current status of the refrigerator
4. This system notifies when there is shortage of food or the food which is near to expire
5. This system also notifies the diet plan for healthy life.

Benefits of the Project

• When the food item is short it notifies the user on the mobile phone.
• When the food is near to expire it notifies the user that which item is near to expire.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

We deisgn the hardware in such a way that it will detect the amount of food which is near to expire and also the food which remains less in amount.

• Make a fridge with three trays for eggs, fruits and vegetables.
• attach the sensors with trays that will sense the weight of the food items and notifies when the food item becomes less.
• it checks the food that which item is near to expire and notifies the user.
• after sensing it directly notifies on user mobile phones and for this purpose we will deisgn the android applicaion on which we get notifications.
