Our Smart Bike Meter will have a 10 or 7 inch touch screen. Where it will show how much petrol your bike has and how much kilometer can your bike cover with that petrol. Also there will be a google navigation option where you have to place your destination and our AI and machine learning algorithm will Provide you a shortest route plus it will inform you that you can or can’t reach your destination with the petrol you have on your Bike. If your bike wasn’t able to Reach its destination with that petrol then it will provide a shortest route to the petrol station.

When turning on the right or left indicator on the bike the back View of Bike will show on the Screen for better understanding the flow of traffic. If your bike tire were losing air pressure it will inform you on the screen that the tire is losing pressure and it will provide you the shortest punctured station near you.

Project Objectives

You don’t have to use your mobile phone for navigation. The user will be able to navigate with an integrated google map in Our Smart Bike meter.

User will be able to know how much kilometer he can cover with the petrol he has in the tank. Also it will inform you that you can or can't reach your destination with that petrol. If you weren’t able to reach your destination it will provide the shortest route to the petrol station.

You don’t have to turn your head in order to look at the traffic behind you. Just turn indicator switch Rear View of Bike will show up on the Screen.

As soon as your Bike’s tire starts losing air pressure it will inform you on The screen and it will provide you the shortest route to the punctured station.

Project Implementation Method

As our project is unique and nothing is like our project in the current Market. So It’s going to need a lot of research and testing because of that we are going to use revised research and development methodologies. The development life cycle of our product consists of 6 phases.

Requirement gathering:

The first phase involves understanding what need to be design and what its function, Purpose etc. Here, the specifications of the input and output.

System Design:

The requirement specifications from the first phase are studied in this phase and system design Is prepared. System Design helps in specifying hardware and system requirements and also Helps in defining overall system architecture. The Software and AI plus Machine learning code to be written in the next stage is created now.

Implementation:

With inputs from system design, the system is first developed in small programs called Units, which are integrated in the next phase. Each unit is developed and tested for its Functionality which is referred to as Unit Testing.

Integration and Testing:

All the units developed in the implementation phase are integrated into a system after

Testing of each unit. The software designed, needs to go through constant software testing To find out if there are any flaws or errors. Testing is done so that the client does not face any Problem during the installation of the software and implementation of the software.

Deployment of System:

Once the functional and non-functional testing is done, the product is deployed in the Customer environment or released into the market.

Maintenance:

This step occurs after installation, and involves making modifications to the system or an Individual component to alter attributes or improve performance. These modifications arise either due to change requests initiated by the customer, or defects uncovered during live Use of the system. Client is provided with regular maintenance and support for the Developed Hardware and Software.

Benefits of the Project

 Benefits of the Smart Bike Meter are

1- While riding a bike and using a mobile phone for navigation it increases the chances of accidents. Smart Bike Meter decreases the chance because the end user can navigate through the bike Meter so he’s both hands are now handling the bike.

2- Most of the bikes in Karachi/Pakistan don't have side mirrors so before turning to right or left they have to look and turn their head back in order to look at the back traffic and understand the flow of the traffic which increases the chance of accidents. Smart Bike Meter emits the chances of accidents because whenever the bike rider wants to turn right or left they have to turn on the indicator switch and 180 degree Rear View of the bike will show up on the screen so then they don’t have to turn their head.

3- The most of the bike doesn’t show the level of fuel/petrol your bike have and also when you’re travelling to your desired destination and your bike stop before reaching the destination because the petrol of your bike is finished and your forget to check your petrol before travelling now your stuck and don’t where the nearest petrol station is. The Smart Bike Meter has one of the great features that whenever you enter your destination on Bike maps it will inform you that you can or can’t reach your destination with that petrol and also the shortest route to petrol station if you weren’t able to reach your destination. Plus on the screen it will also show how much kilometer you can cover with that petrol you currently have in your bike.

4- Sometimes the puncture is so small that you can’t figure out your bike tire is punctured because of that it will get punctured when you are going somewhere on important work. Smart Bike Meter save a person’s day. Whenever your bike tires start losing air pressure it will inform you and also provide you the shortest route to the punctured station.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

Our Smart Bike Meter will be implemented on Raspberry pi 4. The information about speed of the bike, fuel level and gear number will be shown on the 10 inch touch screen. There will be an app icon on the screen where the end user can place its destination and the shortest Route to the destination will be provided using integrated google maps.

There will be AI and machine learning on the back end where it will perform the calculation and provide the information on the screen. About can reach destination on that petrol, tire is losing air pressure and shortest route calculation.

Raspberry pi cameras will be installed on the back of the bike so whenever a user turns right or left indicator of the bike the Rear View of the Bike will show up.
