Autonomous vehicle (AV) is also known as driverless or self-driving vehicle. This AV is capable of sensing its environment and navigate without human input. Self-driving has the potential to bring substantial benefits to the transportation system and some other sectors too.

Over the years the automobile has been technologically improving and growing significantly [1]. Few years ago AVs was a dream but now it’s become reality. Many automobile and some non-automobiles are working on this technology. Non-automobile companies like google and Uber introduced there AVs [6]. The interest of people has been increasing from last few years because of improving sensor and computing technology. The socio-economic impact of AVs is not only confined to the end vehicle users; they have also shown an indelible and revolutionary impact on public transportation systems [1, 2]. According to the world health organization report 1.35 people dies worldwide from road accident annually [3]. 80 percent of these accident are occur due to humans errors [3] which can be reduce by adopting this driver less vehicles . Moreover, AVs can considerably help with reduction and more efficient use of travel time, with economic benefits as well as a positive impact on the physical and mental health of the passengers. According to a survey 79 percent of 9.2 million population spend average 25 min in driving to their work [4]. In the context of AVs' social impact, with the help of AVs disabled and old people also can travel easily. Although it has lot of benefits but to make AVs accepted by a wide demographic and produce them on an industrial scale with a reasonable price, there are still several technological and social challenges that need to be tackled.

There are a lot of problems in current system first of all driver distraction for instance when humans drive they can use car multimedia, cell phones and can talk with their partner, it means they can distract from driving and cause accidents and traffic congestion as well. People with disabilities can’t drive a car they need a driver who is always available for him so it’s difficult to have an assistance who are always available and the salary of driver is also a concern.

One of the major concerns is polluted air. The smog, carbon monoxide, and other toxins emitted by vehicles are especially troubling because they leave tailpipes at street level, where humans breathe the polluted air directly into their lungs. And this can be very vicious for human health. With the help of AVs, we can get rid from this problem.

Project Objectives

We all know autonomous is very hot topic now a days and everyone trying to adopt for their own country or organization. It means making an autonomous vehicle is not a arduous task, the main thing is to makes it cost effective, efficient and reliable and also makes its performance better.

Project Implementation Method

Our prototype will detect the lane, traffic signals and obstacles with the help of webcam and sensors. This is not working in Pakistan yet but a lot of research is going on this topic and for that reason we will make this model which will be cost effective and efficient as well. When it makes on higher level then we will add some other features and we will be able to use it as a taxi driver as well.we will Initialize Camera

In the above Block diagram, For a self-driving camera, Camera is connected with the Raspberry Pi USB port, then the Raspberry Pi which is interfaced with the f-driving with 4 motors. Based on the driving parameter, the signal is sent to Arduino to operate the Model. The monitor is connected as localhost, using remote desktop as the same network to view the video stream of the Car.

Benefits of the Project

Benifits of AVs is very important now a days. Autonomous vehicle prototype is also called self-driving car which uses Machine Learning and Computer Vision to detect Lane and uses Ultrasonic or Lidar sensors to detect objects around a vehicle to avoid accidents and drive car safely without driver when we make it on a very large scale. Technical Details of Final Deliverable

Finall deliverable will be a prototype of Autonomous vehichle . in which we will resolve all the present issues which are in present system . we will make our prototype according to the pakistani conditions which can be impplement in pakistan .in this project we are using rassbery pi 3 b+ moudule and camera which will do live streaming and detect objects . second we are using aurdino UNO which will control motion of model. and other feature we are adding in this model is that we can use autonomus vehicles as texi like metro bus and oringe train which will be opretaed automatically.
