Troops in noisy military vehicles often don’t even know they are being shot until something nearby is hit.This detection System will allow our troops to know the location of the shooter and the distance between them. When a shooter target our troops they came out of the vehicles to the open area and they don’t know exactly from where they have been hit so this system will provide the location as well as the distance between them and the enemy. The system does not alert when shots are fired from the vehicle. There is in if condition which will ensure that the bullet fire from the vehicle will not alert the system like (if bullet fire under 30 meter distance then do not alert.).

This detection System will allow our troops to know the location of the shooter and the distance between them. Project ObjectivesThis project is a real time application which will calculate the distance b/w the shooter and the target. And also find the direction of a shooter (angle of elevation). A soldier won’t have to guess the position of a shooter and won’t need to waste time on that. He will get an immediate response from the device to respond on the position of a shooter to save Life and time. The device will give audible and visual cues to the holder through a speaker and LCD screen.
Project Implementation MethodFor coding we will use python language and will be installed in Raspberry pi . Then Microphones will be attached with the Raspebrry pi and a gun shoot will fired to test the system the microphones will detect the sound the code will analyse the sound and then the distance will be calculated and as will as the direction. The distance depend on the speed of sound that how fast the sound reach to the microphone and the direction of the shooter will be calculated by the position of the microphone set at the target. The LCD will give the visual cues and the speaker will give the auadable cues.
Benefits of the ProjectFor a soldier its hard to locate a hidden or camouflage shooter so to bring out the shooter to the light we proposed this device. A soldier won’t have to guess the position of a shooter and won’t need to waste time on that. He will get an immediate response from the device to respond on the position of a shooter to save Life and time. The device will give audible and visual cues to the Benefitser of this project will be securities agencies like Army Police etc.
Technical Details of Final DeliverableThe Final product will be consist of a hardware and software. The use will have a friendly interface he/she can ON OFF the system and can mute the speaker and can only use the LCD and also have a volume button.
