Ecotainable is a smart solution for recycling waste into energy and revenue cycles and optimizing waste management via digital solutions. We will be digitalizing the municipal functions for waste processing for collecting, recycling/composting the market waste massed from the consumers and waste producers.
With a total population of nearly 4.3 million, Peshawar produces approx. 2200 tons of waste per day. Out of this only 250 tons/day is lifted or reprocessed by the recycling industry and the rest stays to pollute or contaminate the city. It is therefore a need of the hour to implement a sustainable solution for waste management in the emerging city, ‘Smart Pekhawar’.
Ecotainable is the one-window smart application with IoT enabled options for connecting end-users to the waste management facilities and various recycling options. It will also connect agribusiness stakeholders to waste compost producers for the sustainable waste re-usage. We will be providing biodegradable alternatives to the food industry and SMEs to reduce bioburden and plastic litter. This will be a trend-setter for making KPK more eco-friendly and waste-free. The objective and goal of this project is to digitalize the process of garbage management by providing a cross-platform or a hybrid application for connecting users and stakeholders (Producers, buyers, and purchasers). As we are aware that, the demands of the population of KPK is growing rapidly with the increasing consumption of consumables by the citizens. Unfortunately, there is a huge gap in the market and there is a pivotal need to provide a better solutions for waste management and its reutilization for a bio-friendly approach. ‘Sustainable’ is the holistic solution for connecting every citizen to the administrative institutions and other key stakeholders through an integrated digital platform.
The first phase of implementation will be the pilot phase. We will be piloting the process by testing our customer journey wireframe and will be improving the customer experience at every step of this phase. Our alpha testing will be intended to make the trial for generating requests to pick the garbage for the effective management of municipal waste.
Into our integrated Garbage Management System, we will build a holistically controlled monitoring system where users would be able to order/generate a request to pick the garbage produced in their house, by using google maps/profiling the address of their location and desired time and the generated request will be received by the representatives(managers), who will be managing and controlling the admin panel/application.
For larger businesses, they will be responsible to set out an appointment for booking an inspection of the location and will be inspecting the nature of waste and will provide a detailed guide on how to save more costs on waste collection and diverting more wastes to the reprocessing stages.
At their pre-selected time and provided location, the requested nearest municipal staff will respond to the generated request, waste would be processed and treated to convert into organic compost products or other alternative reusable material also segregated based on their materials.
