Project Summary

With the advancement of technology, the demand for energy storage devices also increased day by day. These devices store energy through different sources but these sources are not available everywhere The energy produced through traditional sources is non-renewable and causes global warming. The main idea is to produce energy through clean and cheap sources. when we are going to mountain areas we carry Portable devices including mobile phones, Satellite Phones. The battery fall of these devices is very fast, especially in cold areas. We aim to install piezoelectric sensors under shoe soles to generate electricity. Whenever stress is applied to these materials mechanical energy can be converted into electrical energy. so this electrical energy can be utilized in mobile charging. The piezoelectric discs are made up of special types of materials like Lead zirconate titanate ( PZT), and PVDF. Charges inside these materials are displaced due to mechanical stress and generate an electric field.

Project Objectives

Our main objective is to harvest energy by walking, so this energy can be utilized in mobile charging and fulfill the energy requirements of other portable devices.

Electrical energy gathered from human motion will be used to power a variety of transducers, including piezoelectric materials, variable capacitors, and inductive generators.

Project Implementation Method

The piezoelectric sensors installed under the sole, these sensors are circular shaped the center of the sensor plate is an opposite charge to the boundary of the plate. whenever a person walks stress is applied to these sensors charges displace inside them. so it can create an electric field, due to this stress AC is produced which can be converted into DC for charging portable devices.

Benefits of the Project

Long-term viability: Our vision is to develop a project that is long-lasting and sustainable. If the energy harvester is used constantly after it is established and working, it should stay forever.

Concern for the Environment: This modern world makes people lazy everyone doing their work without any physical activity. These piezoelectric sensors generate electricity only when there is any healthy physical activity by humans, so electricity produced by using these sensors can also save the electricity from other sources like hydropower, and fossil fuels.

Safety: The Framework of this project is very simple so no harmful things relate to this. Our project will be safer and more sustainable all the time.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

Energy harvesting during walks is of small amount but it can be cheaper and environment friendly.so there is no adverse contribution of this energy. If we are going to areas where there are no electricity sources, these piezoelectric sensors play a vital role in energy production. If our mobile is out of battery and someone facing real trouble, while charging a mobile phone with these plates we can easily communicate.
