Now,  the world is moving towards more clean and green energy the role of Solar power is inevitable in this drive. Solar Panels face a major drawback in efficiency with an increase in its temperature. Hence, back surface cooling is proposed for the eradication of this problem. Polycrystalline modules were chosen due to it has more life and cheaper than mono-crystalline panels. To calculate the efficiency of this solution 3 panels of the same specification are used. Keeping one panel simple and applying just micro-channel to 2nd panel and applying both micro-channel and forced convection to 3rd panel the results are to be compared.

The objectives of our project are:

  1. Decrease temperature of Panels
  2. Increase the efficiency of panels

Project Implementation Method

Implementation:

This project has a direct impact on society. By implementation it can increase the efficiency of PV modules and solar energy can be a more reliable source of green energy. The method of implementation is simple.

The implementation can be further divided into two phases.

  • Implementation in already installed panels
  • Implementation in upcoming PV installations

This idea should be adopted by solar panel installation companies on a national and international level. In the first phase, all the previous installed panels should be integrated with this solution.

Then in phase two, this solution(Technique illustrated in this project) should be part of PV package and should be installed along with PV panels.

  • 3  Polycrystalline Modules -  50 W along with integrated copper pipes and fans
  • 3 Panel Stands
  • 1 Water Drum
  • Pipes
