Project Summary

This project aims to represent a mini version of robot with raspberry pi and Arduino UNO working as a main processor chip, the LIDAR will provide the necessary information and the raspberry pi will analyses the data and it will get trained in pi and result in detecting road lanes and identifying other robot on road. With this we will develop Desktop Application to navigate a loader Robot on the track. We will also develop an Android Application from which the commands are given to the Robot (Loader) and perform according to it.

Project Objectives

This idea introduces an educational project in Robotics, the project focuses on building a model of robot. The brain of system is the Raspberry Pi which capable of exchanging data with the sensors and fast enough for calculate millions of data per second. Since our robot will use Infrared module through which we will be able to identify objects in the real world. The Robot(Car) will be controlled by DC motor controller, which is controlled by Arduino UNO, capable of reading its speed. LIDAR will be used to map real world objects that are then processed by the main controller within the car. In the Robot we will use the GPS module which tells the location of the robot. We firstly develop an Android Application through which we give commands to the robot(car) and perform the specific actions from the Application. In this project we also build a Desktop Application from which we perform networking tasks and in this Application all the robot are shown to the administrator of the system. The administrator will track all the robots through desktop Application.

Project Implementation Method

on the way is the concept of robots working with human beings. we will use the robotic car to lift the heavy load from one place to another. this will be a  convenient way of transferring goods from one place to another. this will pave the way for development in the field of technology.

Furthermore, from a development point of view, our project goes through a number of iterations before anything is going to be final. Feedback is gathered and implemented continually and in all, it is a much more dynamic process where everyone is working together towards one goal. Therefore, we are using Agile software development methodology for IoT based On the way.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

The technical details of proposes system are as follows.

1. Setting up sensors Sensors will be installed, so they can make respective readings and give it to the required module. 2. Data gathering through sensors Data will be gathered continuously through sensors and user will be viewing it live on his mobile and web app. Data gathered from sensors will also be stored in Database for decision making, graphs plotting and for performing different operations at them

3. Actuators Along with the different sensors, Actuators will also be installed in the farm that will take different actions on run time, depending upon the commands received by the user or from the sensors and will adjust the overall environment of the farm in between the given thresholds.

4. Monitoring module There will be a monitoring module to monitor the environment. This module will be responsible for showing current environment of farm in our mobile and web app.

5. IOT data storage management IOT data storage management so we can get the data from IOT system.

6. Database Data will also be stored in Database for decision making, graphs plotting and for performing different operations at them.

7. Decision making module After gathering data from sensors, There will be a Decision making module to make the decision on the bases of the given information. This module will be responsible for opening the window or any other particular action through the actuators.

8. Control unit management The control unit will manage the flow of information.

9. Web application Web application to view the information, controlling environment and viewing summaries through graphs.
