Project Summary

Our project includes: Installation and configuration of Microsoft Server in this project we will configure DC (Domain Controller), Additional Domain Controller, which we need in case of server failure, we still have another one which can provide necessary services in our network, which avoids business discontinuity. Implement and configure AD DS policy for user like create group of user (organization unit) and apply policy for different user.

We are also going to install prepaid print server, which Monitor and control student and staff printing. We also include the concept of Prepaid Printing which is much needed in educational Institute and Computer / Research Laboratories. It also Assign student or department print quotas.

In addition to this we are also going to install PBX on our server. PBX stands for Private Branch Exchange, which is a private telephone network used within a company or organization. The users of the PBX phone system can communicate within their company or organization, using different communication channels like Voice over IP, or analog.

Project Objectives

• Build Computer Network using Windows Server
• Domain Controller and additional domain controller
• Active Directory Services (ADS) Creation of User Accounts and apply group policies
• Build Print Server with Pre Paid Printing Feature
•  Build PBX

Project Implementation Method

In this project we create a Server, Configure Domain Controller, Additional Domain Controller, Configure Active Directory, which is use to create and configure the users as well as the student group policy.

We are also going to install prepaid print server, Monitor and control student and staff printing.

In addition to this we are also going to install PBX on our server

Benefits of the Project

The main goal of networking is "Resource Sharing", and it is to make all programs, data and equipment available to anyone on the network without the regard to the physical location of the resource and the user. The users can access the Sever use shared resources, save their data on centralized location and access their data from any computer using their logins. A file that was updated or modified on a network can be seen by the other users on the network immediately. Another goal is saving money. Through this project we will provide a powerful and secure communication medium.
