Project Summary

Nagaban is an online COVID-19 awareness platform which will be accessible to everyday user to get educated on the virus and how you can keep your family and yourself safe from this deadly illness. Further we will be adding self-evaluation (in descriptive and visual form) that user can know if they should get tested for the virus or not. We will have all the hospital and testing information required to make the process as easy as possible for our users.

Project Objectives

In a developing country like Pakistan, people lack awareness about certain illnesses which can further lead life threating issues. The purpose of this system to make the people aware about the disease and to minimize the sense of fear amongst the people and the misconceptions surrounding this virus. Furthermore, we aim to provide the users with testing information and helping them out the doubts they might have about this virus. This system will help the users educate and getting required help they need to help prevent and if God forbid tested positive them manage this virus.

Project Implementation Method

This system is based on covid-19 awareness and would guide the users about the precautions and symptoms. The self-assessment tool, an interactive Chabot which allows users to understand their symptoms, recognize whether they may have contracted COVID-19 and seek help in a timely manner. It aims to identify potential coronavirus carriers, limit their risk of transmission, and seek help from official, designated national helplines listed within the system. Since myths and misconceptions regarding COVID-19 have been fueling panic nationwide and further contributing to the spread of the disease, it will also feature educational videos, translated in local languages, to combat unverified information that is circulating on social media platforms. It also includes official information, such as best practices, advice on self-assessment, precautions, the need for physical distancing and self-care for COVID-19, published by sources such as the World Health Organization (WHO).

Our website/app will provide all the necessary information regarding the virus it will guide you about the areas that are currently in lockdown and hotspots in the country. It will also allow you to access yourself if you might have COVID-19 and you need to get yourself tested and the information regarding all the government and private testing facilities. It will also guide you about the hospitals and pharmacy locations.
