Project Summary

Interactive robot system to facilitate hospital with the revolution of robotics is what we name Multi-Purpose Robot . The functionality is basic health monitoring , cleaning and surveillance.Robotic system with unique and strong structured robot uses for cleaning , health monitoring and surveillance. The robot is autonomous in nature , it avoid obstacle and define its path.  Powerful vacuum and mopping roller to keep the area clean. At the restricted places it provide surveillance and snapshot the movement with alert to admin. The heart rate,  oxygen saturation and temperature is what it provides to the consumer. To provide basic health facility .Integrating three different product to become one product .The structure of project design to be round shape to avoid obstacle in their path easily.

Project Objectives

Robotic system with unique and strong structured robot uses for cleaning , health monitoring and surveillance.

In cleaning system it has power full vaccum system which collect the dust and small pieces of light weight material and collect it in their grabage storage, also in cleaning system we introduce mopping in system in the robot there is a roller which cover with a foam and a water dropping system which drop water on the roller and the roller moves continuously and mop the floor after vacuuming the area.

In health monitoring system there is a heart sensor which is to be programmed to show the heart rate and oxygen saturation of a body of a person, when a person place finger on the sensor. in addition temperature sensor is also integrated to show body temperature of a person. All the data which sensor collect will show on the lcd.

Third and the last one is surveillance, The CMOS camera is implemented on the robot which is connected wirelessly , At the restricted places it provide surveillance and snapshot the movement with alert to admin.The video or photage that the camera collected will show on the smart screen.

The robot is fully autonomous, it avoid obstacle and define its path. 

Project Implementation Method

Firstly, the robot design is the important part, the robot is designed round shape to avoid obstacle easily and redefine its path again. the structure of robot is made up of iron rods and the acrylic sheet cover the whole body, the top is made up of semicirlce fibre sheet.

In Cleaning system the vacuum is made by aluminium box which has a powerfull fan which create vacuum in that box, the high power dc motor is used for mopping which is place bottom of the robot , all these things connected to relays,

In health monitoring system, the heart sensor and temperature sensor are the main part, which is integrated to perform thier tast rapidly the small bolx is placed inside the head of the robot, the lcd also placed on the head of robot to show sensor data.The overall system is integrated and it uses externel power to operate.

The third one is surveillance, for it; The CMOS camera plays important role we placed it inside the head of the robot the camera is power by externel source and the video and snapshot will show on smart screen wirelessly when conneted to wifi.

The overall system is programmed on arduino which work autonomously, to avoid obstacle we use three IR sensors placed on the body of robot r; right centre and left accordingly .The two dc motors were use to control robot wheels and the third one is free wheel. the relays operated the motors when needed.

The bluetooth module is used to operate the robot, to move , to operate vacuum and mopping system.

Benefits of the Project

At the restricted places it provide surveillance and snapshot the movement with alert to admin.at the same place it can clean that area, it can show the heart rate , oxygen saturation and temperature of a person which is very important where hospital are at some large distance , we can also said it mobile health. Integrating three different product to become one product . Addressing the soft area such as hospital to be supervised by man work done by robot. Improvement element toward government and private hospital , workplace.In industry it can be advancement and many human work done by a one robot. 

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

The Robot is powered by DC 12V 7A battery , the programme is burn in the arduino , the arduino operate relays and the relays operate the vacuum , mopping and water motor and the robot wheels, the bluetooth module is use to give command to the robot to perform their specific task wirelessly, the motors used are DC high power motors about 2500rpm, for heart rate and temperature, MAx30102 and lm35 were used . the CMOS camera is use for the surveillance .

the robot body is round shape made from iron rods. The diameter of robot is approx 25inch and the height of the robot is approx 30inch. The acrylic sheet is use to cover body of the robot.
