The main idea of this FYP to design an autonomous Greenhouse environment. All essential requirements for the selected plant will be taken under consideration while every parameter will be monitored and taken care of using IoT. We will automate the greenhouse environment by sensing and controlling all vital factors for the respective plant which includes temperature, smoke, flame, pH level and soil moisture. Upon sensing, respective control will be applied for the optimization of internal environment in order to obtain fruitful results. The process will be monitored and controlled using IoT.
Parameters to be monitotred inclyde temprature, humidity, moisture, smoke, fire detector. It also includes thw soil quality by checking its PH level.
The prototype will include the supply of water, acid and vase to cope the need of the soil.
The target plant taken is tomoto plant.
Our project is basically a solution for existing problem. The main objective was to design a greenhouse system where non-seasonal fruits/vegetables can grow under healty and optimized environment . The whole system is autonomous for better and faster output results. Also, man power has been decreased due to less manual work.
Major objectives include
1-Monitoring the greenhouse environment
2-Cobtrolloing the environment without human invilvement
We have implemented our idea using a Firebase Homeautomation application through which we smartly monitor and control our whole hardware system.
Following is the methodology adopted.
1- The Greenhouse is divided into three zones.
2-Each zone is equipped with bank of sensors
3-Each bank of sensors reports its data to microcontroller.
4- The controller sends the data to thingspeak platform via internet.
5- IoT platform monitors the reported data and controls the environment accordingly. M
Our project provides various advantages and is beneficial regarding agricultural field/side. This system produces enhanced and healthy yield in much lesser time as compared to orthodox methods. All the updates are available with the gap of few minutes which can be monitored and controlled smartly even from distant places.
Final deliverable of the project is a prototype of the greenhouse equipped with sensors in all zones to monitor the environment. Also a controller hub for controlling the greenhouse environment and a gateway tp Internet communications.
