MechInPocket is an android application for the people who are facing difficulties getting help when their vehicle breaks down on the road. Many of them do not have any help as the Vehicle Repair Service Providers (VRSP) might be far away from their locations. These problems are the motivations for the development of this project to help those who are in need when their vehicle breaks down along the roads or at their homes. This application has two types of users: one is mechanic and other is the user who wants to repair its vehicle. MechInPocket connects both the users. The application works in a way that mechanics will create their profile by signing in and the user (i.e vehicle owner) login to the app then all the nearest mechanics will be shown to the user. User (i.e vehicle owner) can view the profile (includes contact details and expertise) of mechanics and can contact them. Mechanic will come to the user’s location with the tools regarding to the user specified problem of vehicle. User can also ask for the time and itself reach at the VRSP for its vehicle service and users can also avail the pick and drop service from the VRSP(Pick and drop service is that a mechanic will pick your vehicle from your specified place/location to their workstation and after repairing your vehicle, mechanic will drop your vehicle at your specified place/location). Payment to the mechanic will be done on the spot after the service is provided and user’s satisfaction.

Initially we conduct meetings with our customers (i.e normal customers and mechanics) to understand the issues and together the requirements and also arrange detailed meeting about development phase. After the requirements are gathered we planned for developing a system which is according to the requirements and needs.
We also schedule the project timeline and plan for gathered data and make databases, also planned for the efficient use of API’s google maps api and firebase api, plan for the payment methods , front-end and back-end development planning , training sessions for mechanics will also be arranged to train them. In the execution phase we’ll execute each phase which is discussed above in the planning of project, we design the layouts for user interface , develop and test each activity, each side mechanic and customer side will be engineered and tested and also expected results are observed either developed meets the requirements or not. Once each requirement is tested it will be te time of launching the app and provide the services which was promised by us.
Developed system will be handy.

Customer’s vehicle problem will be resolved at their mentioned location without taking their vehicle to the mechanics.
Small solutions will be guided by mechanics just calling them.

A user whose vehicle has been broken down enters his problem and location in MechInPocket android App.
MechInPocket android app searches the nearest repair service providers by using Google maps.
The information of vehicle repair service providers or the information of mechanics will be saved by using firebase database.
The mechanic from the nearest VRSP/vehicle repairing workstations reaches to the specified location of user to provide services.
