The project IOT BASED WATER FILTERING, DISTRIBUTION AND MONITORING SYSTEM is based on the internet of things to check the purity of water as well as the distribution of the water in different tanks. The conventional water distribution and monitoring system does not have the checking of the amount of water and when the water is stolen from the pipe lines it cannot detect the quantity of water missing from the main reservoir in the distribution system. This can increase the cost of water supply to the consumer in a certain amount of time and is not very efficient in the catching of faults in the pipelines. Our system will not only help to reduce the cost per request but also do it more efficiently. One another benefit of the system is, it can be used for checking the bills of the individual households which consume water and the quantities they have utilized. The importance of water internationally cannot be ignored and the conservation and correct usage of water has to be given utmost importance. Our system can provide the facility that can not only save water which is wasted due to a number of reasons but also it can monitor the usage of the consumer and allot the consumer a fixed quota of water and maintain cost. This goes in the interest of both the water supply company as well as the consumer.
Our project aim is to design and develop as well as demonstrate on a mini scale the supply of water, to monitor the purity of the water to be supplied after filtration and to distribute the water in different cisterns by using Wi-Fi module, so that the monitoring can be accessed from even a remote place.

Our project the IOT BASED WATER FILTERING, DISTRIBUTION AND MONITORING SYSTEM is meant for the monitoring, controlling and distribution of fresh water to the consumers. We have done this by using Raspberry Pi as the microprocessor and this is based on IoT because it uses the internet to perform its designated functions. There is a filtration section where the water is refined and made safe for drinking purpose. After the filtration the turbidity and the PH levels of water are checked which is displayed on the GUI on the mobile phone. The tanks where the water is supplied have level indicators and the valves on the pipes which have the automatic turn on and off systems are attached to motors for this purpose. This is also controlled by the mobile cell phone. The levels of water can be seen from the GUI on the cell phone.
The main benefit of the project is to minimize the problems and disease that are born from the pollution, nowadays almost 80% of pakistan's population is drinking polluted water. This project has a solution to this problem, through this project the consumers not only drink the water, but only supply the pure usage as well.
All the components will be placed on the circuit, and make to perform together as a single unit to present the entire working of the project, that single piece of hardware contains all the objectives of our project.
