The market demand for efficient fuel management, as well as the ability to control and monitor the gasoline delivered to vehicles, is increasing. Gasoline theft can result in substantial financial losses for both the fuel pump owners and the
customers. This can result in a loss of faith in the company, making it a prime target for the media and the general public.
Both the provider and the customer benefit greatly from more attentive fueling monitoring and a capability to control the entire system remotely. Nowadays, no accurate record of fuel filled and consumed in automobiles is kept. It has a negative
financial impact. To prevent this loss, an IoT-based Fuel Monitoring in Vehicle system is used to monitor and track the vehicle. The ESP8266 Wi-Fi chip is used in this
monitoring system. This technology uses a Hall Effect Sensor to compute the current fuel level in the tank as well as the amount of fuel currently inserted. It sends data to the
Wi-Fi chip ESP8266. The ESP8266 chip is a piece of hardware that connects a flow sensor to a server, which subsequently sends data to a user's Android app. When a device is unavailable, it saves data to memory. This system uses Internet of Things (IoT) technologies to secure user identities, authenticate access, and identify impersonated or
false devices in the network. The goal of the Internet of Things is to enable things to connect with anything and anybody at any time, in any location, utilizing a network and
service.
Following are the main objectives we want to achieve in this
project:
• To keep monitoring the main tank levels and fuel dispensed to avoid theft.
• To keep the owner updated in case of theft, fire, and leakage.
• To alert the emergency services in case of fire.
• To alert the complete fuel pump using alarm system.
• To halt the fuel flow system in case of emergency.
• To use smart camera system to monitor the fuel pump and employee.
nWhen the customer comes to fill the fuel at the station, firstly he will swipe the card. If the card is authorized, RFID card reader will accept the card. Then it will ask for the pin number. If he entered pin number by the customer is correct then it will ask for the amount for the petrol to be dispensed.If we enter wrong password more than twice it raises an alarm
Man power is reduced because of automated self service.
Due to use of RFID system robbery of the fuel is avoided.The time is Saved.

The monitoring system is the most vital part in our project. The whole
theft detection and avoidance lies around this system. Our primary objective is to
identify fuel inside the main tank at any time and that too remotely. So for this purpose
a detailed research study is conducted on different modules suitable for this task. The
most suitable hardware module we found was the Ultrasonic module. It updates values
in milliseconds and also provide us with good accuracy and to the point results.
