IoT based monitoring and protection of distribution system
IoT based smart framework for Distribution System monitoring, fault detection and classification has been designed, tested and implemented. The System also ensures efficient operation of adaptive protection schemes to protect Distribution System against all the equipment and safety hazards in case of short circuit Faults. Quicker and immediate actions are ensured to minimize the impact of Faults.
Our objective is to provide an Efficient Monitoring scheme for short circuit Faults in the Distribution System and an intelligent fault detection. To make the Distribution system reliable and self -healing from power system disturbances. which will keep our system protected from different hazards. which will save huge amount of repairing cost.
This project is based on IOT and RTES(real time embedded systems). These systems are capable of quick actions on different faults, like pic18 microcontroller which is itself a computer. And can-do different tasks with less time delay. and, we use esp8266 microcontroller for IOT purpose.
