Project Summary

In this project we are monitoring voltage ( zmpt101B), current ( sct 013), and frequency by the sensors, of the biogas generator, using Arduino and controlling the generator using an ATS system which will auto-start and turn off the generation system remotely. The measured values will be shown on a web page that is connected through the wifi module which will help in less human interaction.

Project Objectives

The main objective of this project is to monitor the parameters of the Biogas generator using IoT for the efficient operation of electricity-generating and control the generator by ATS and send results remotely to the webpage. 

Project Implementation Method

for load monitoring, we installed SCT 013 current sensor and Zmpt101B voltage sensor to measure the current, voltage, and frequency of the system and we are using the ATS module to start and stop the generator automatically and we can start and stop the generator manually through webpage using IoT.

Benefits of the Project

  1. Less labor cost.
  2. Remote access of electricity parameters.
  3. Identification of different parameters on cell phone.
  4. They know exactly how much load is on the generator.
  5. This system minimizes the human involvement in Biogas generator.

the system includes these sensors:

  • SCT 013 Current sensor
  • ZMPT101B AC Voltage sensor
  • ATS For Generator
  • Arduino UNO
  • ESP-8266-12 WIFI Module 

And the system shows:

  • Voltage 
  • current
  • frequency

And you can control the generator by:

ATS (automatic transfer switch)
