It is basically a car-sharing company where the user can book a car from a remote location and drive it, and then the user will leave the car whenever their work is done. To book a car and drive it, the user has to go to the car and unlock it and use it.
We create an android based application that enables the user to book a vehicle for a certain time frame, use the vehicle and park it safely within the city.
1. Create an app for users where they don't have to face the hassle of renting vehicles for the commute.
2. Once the user is done with his commute, he/she can park the vehicle anywhere within the city.
3. This reduces the waiting time, which is the main factor in other taxi apps.
1. the First step will be the collection of requirements of the application and the embedded system.
2. Then we the designing of embedded systems and mobile applications will go hand in hand.
3. Once the embedded system is ready, we will be working on the server's development.
4. The embedded system will be linked to the server. Its job is to provide the vehicle's location to the server continuously.
5. Once this is done, we will resume our work on the application.
6. Lastly, testing will be done to ensure there are no flaws.
Driving on Karachi's streets is a very hectic task and especially the parking of cars, so our project will reduce the hassle of the people as it makes their commute easy and saves time for them as they don't have to worry about their vehicles' parking. It also helps in the economy as it brings job opportunities for the people.
1st Deliverable: Embedded System
- An embedded system will be made to constantly send its current location to the server using the GSM module, which would also be connected to the Arduino.
- The system will also be responsible for locking and unlocking the vehicle. This will be handled once the server validates the user.
2nd Deliverable: Android Application
The application will consist of the following features:
-Login/Sign Up.
-Integration of Google Maps APIs.
-Showing near by available cars using users' current location.
-Real-Time car location tracking.
-Booking car for a specific time slot.
-Integration of a QR code Reader, which will be used to unlock the car.
-Setting up Payment getaway.
-Booking History.
