Project Summary

Global warming is a serious crisis all over the world. Rapid cutting of trees is one of the reasons of this. Hot, humid and dry summers in Pakistan are one of the alarming consequences of rapid depletion of trees. Finding ways to encourage people to plant trees is one of the ways by which negative effects of global warming may be reduced. The intent of this project is to make an app that gives users periodic reminders about importance of trees, hoping to encourage users to plan trees. The app will also keep data of nurseries in Lahore. If users allow, app will send them notifications about availability of easy to maintain plants in nurseries around them. The app will also send users information about price reduction on plants in nurseries in Lahore. The app will also ask the user if he is a working person or likes gardening. If the user inputs being a working person then app will give him notifications of availability of easy to maintain plants. If the user inputs that he likes gardening, the app will give him notifications about availability of plants that require some maintenance work. The software developers will hire a domain expert to design graphically pleasant messages to convince their users to plant and preserve trees

Project Objectives

1. To send periodic, graphically pleasant messages to user about importance of trees. 

2. To encourage users to plant trees by sending them information about availability of easy to maintain plants and trees in Lahore region. 

3. To participate in efforts to decrease climate temperature.

4. To encourage domestic plantation of trees.

5. To revive hobby of gardening in people that has becoming less popular after people have gotten involved in technological devices and have reduced spending time outside.

Project Implementation Method

The user end app will be both android and iOS. Admin end will have a core i5, 5th generation computer. It would have at least 512GB hard disk. RAM of the admin structure would be at least 12 GB. Partner nurseries will also get iOS and Android apps to upload information about availability of plants suitable for planting in Punjab, and prices of those plants. Nurseries may also upload information about basic instructions for maintain of those plants in their apps.

4. Decreased pollution and decreased respiratory diseases are one of the consequences of decreased pollution . 

5. To increase sale of plants in Pakistan. 

6. To create a platform for connecting people interested in gardening and plan seller nurseries.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

The final product will have four applications. an iOS application and an Android application for user . Their will be iOS and Android applications for clients. As clients will be plant nurseries , they would be able to send users messages about avaialbility of plants . They would also be able to send users messages about sales of plants in their nurseries. The central database of the whole system will atleast have 512 GB SSD hard disk , the central DB server would have 16 GB RAM and it would be a core i5 computer.
