SMART MOBILE BASED NETWORK SIMULATOR APPLICATION USING VR AND 5G TECHNOLOGIES
Over the past few years, the number of users actively using Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to make their daily life easy and efficient. Currently, this technology facilitates users in health, agriculture, electronics, software, and cellular networks, etc. The technological evolution of ICT opens many new horizons for the users as well as researchers. The expectation from the 5th Generation of mobile technology is to support applications (e.g. remote medical services, massive machine-to-machine communication for industrial automation, virtual and augmented reality, 3D videos, etc.), connect people, things, and data in a smart network communication environment. Today this technology is used by many experts for accessing the performance and efficiency of their networks with the help of different simulation tools. These tools are very complex, and far away from the real-world environment. Moreover, these simulators are very expensive and time-consuming, and insufficient to work on diverse platforms, e.g., Android. To overcome, above mentioned gaps, our proposed project will provide a client/server-based android application by using ML and VR techniques. For the successful implementation of the proposed solution, we used various tools (Python, Unity 3D, PHP, and Android Studio), techniques (web scraper, 3D network animator, python), and technologies (VR, and ML). The proposed solution is decomposed into three basic modules entitled VR Editor Manager, Scenario Builder, AI decision support, and Simulator. The proposed project will train the scenarios by the experts which will then facilitate future decision making. This project will not only facilitate the network experts in their 5G setup decisions but also provide researchers, new areas for research to be explored (e.g. device behavior, expert behavior, etc.).
The project objectives are
In this project, a smart 5G networking based scenarios building solution will be proposed. In this proposed project, a VR editor manager module has been developed whose basic purpose is to provide a VR environment to the user where they can create their 5G scenarios easily and efficiently. The proposed AI decision support module acts in two folded way, firstly it trained the expert scenarios using ML techniques and then facilitates the users in their scenario building. In this project, equipment specifications will be acquired from the authenticated websites using our proposed data acquisition algorithm. The algorithm acts as a crawler and saves the desired data into the database so that simulation results will be produced easily. In the end, the proposed simulation module will simulate the user scenario by using the 3D image processing and dynamic programming techniques.
