Iot based industrial load monitoring with PF controller
Project Area of Specialization Internet of ThingsProject SummaryWith the development in modern communication technology, every physical device is now connecting with the internet. IIoT is getting emerging technology for connecting physical devices with the user. Internet of Things (IIoT) is an extension of Internet power that allows different digital devices to connect to one another in order to send information back and forth. In other words, IoT is a system for connected computing devices. Each of these devices has a unique identifier and can communicate with other devices, which ultimately allows people and businesses to connect with each other and make meaningful strategic decisions. This paper has presented the design and implementation of Internet of things for monitoring and controlling of various application and parameters in industries. The key idea of the proposed work is to provide flexible and long distance connectivity between industrial environment and user. The advantages of the developed system are to have a continuous monitoring over industrial applications and also control them if going beyond their threshold conditions. Future work will focus on improvement of above proposed work and adding features to make a reliable smart Industrial monitoring and controlling system.
Project Objectives- To provide controlling system in industrial through the PLC.
- To reduce the time of process.
- The quality of object must be accurate.
- The main purpose of this project is to provide security for the industry
- We may switch-off the equipments and control the internal system in case of occasion of emergency.
- Different control technologies are used for monitoring and control of the systems, whereas the communication between a system and a user is generally realized online via wireless communication.
- Safety is the utmost priority of all industrial sectors as even minimal malfunctions in the mechanisms can lead to unavoidable deteriorating circumstances. Human monitoring system although with good efficiency has its drawbacks as turbulences in the accuracy rate in checking and monitoring mechanisms are inevitable.
- Total prevention of accidents in industrial workspaces is impossible but preventive measures to near perfection in our motive are achievable. A specified system with diverse technical devices such as sensor-based network integrated monitoring devices lowers the random and human errors produced in the validation process.
Industrial monitoring and control is a combination of architectures, mechanisms, and algorithms used in the industrial factory for monitoring and control the activities of industrial processes, motors, machines and devices employed in industry premises to achieve the goal. Though it sounds good enough to have a smart industrial environment in the near future but it will also have to face hurdles of handling big data as all the devices will communicate with each other and exchange their information over a common-platform.The present project is focused on Industrial applications that will be continuously monitored through a set of sensors that constitutes a sensor module. The sensor module collects the relevant data to determine whether the applications to be monitored are working well under certain threshold values. By working on this project, we aim to gain in-depth knowledge in the technical aspects of the internet of things and digital electronics systems. The core objective of our industrial monitoring system is achieved with digital integration of sensors with optimum value precision and micro-controllers.
Technical Details of Final Deliverable- The presented system is basis on the real power consumption by the user as it is built for just regular household with small loads. For the bigger loads the reactive power measurement is important. Here reactive power measurement feature and power factor penalty feature can be added in the case of design for the industrial and larger application. In the case of mass implementation more advanced mobile network based IoT device should be tested. For the development in data analysis and processing in Smart Grid system IoT can play important role to collect data from remote user and to accumulate data in the main server.
- The probability of human error is greatly reduced. This system provides time and financial savings for the business. Constant monitoring also allows for consistent and dependable data from anywhere around the world. Major accidents can be prevented without any huge damages.
