Contamination can make our water polluted. Moreover water spreads many diseases too. We are not able to reuse polluted water easily.

Smart water quality Monitoring and Purification system (SWQMPS) can monitor the impurities level in the water whether water contains any chemical, mud or any other impurities and can purify water whether it is waste water of factories, laundry or any type of contaminated water. There will be different tanks in the system like biological treatment tanks, chemical dispensing tank and water storage tank. We can monitor and purify water through mobile application.
Mobile application will show TDS value of water and overall performance of the system. We can reuse polluted water of factories laundry etc. Also greywater can be recycled and can be used as drinkable water. It is cost effective way to purify water in certain time limit.
Project ObjectivesThe Smart Water Quality Monitoring and Purification System (SWQMPS) is an advanced system to be designed for improving Water Quality and maintaining the standards for supplying of pure water to homes, industries as well as remote areas. Water pollution is increasing day by day which raises a question mark for future life especially for our country Pakistan. Since, we have already too less water resources to full fill our needs and by the passage of time, due to overpopulation the availability of pure water for domestic use is a series issue.
the system can monitor and can show the quality level of water. It can purify:
a) Salty water
b) detergent water
c) greywater
Most effective function of the project is of controlling with the help of Mobile application. One can monitor and perform purification function through mobile application.
Project Implementation MethodThe Smart Water Quality Monitoring and Purification system is an approach for the recycling and purification of polluted water. It will not only purify just salty water but it can recycle and purify even domestic water and will probably be a best approach for solving the water scarcity issue. Furthermore it will monitor the purification process with mobile application.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable Treatment DesignSENSORS
PH sensors, temperature sensors and water level sensors are inserted into the tanks for monitoring and controlling the purification process.
COLLECTION TANK
It stores purified water, illuminated by UV lights for continuous disinfection.
FILTRAION COLUMNS
It removes the rest of the contaminants such as metal ions and suspended solids.
UVC LIGHT
It kills bacteria remaining in the grey water.
CHEMICAL TREATMENT TANK
It uses VUV lamps to create ozone, which can oxidize and break down the contaminating organics in the grey water.
BIOLOGICAL TREATMENT TANK
It contains bacteria to digest remaining organics in the grey water.
CHEMICAL DISPENSING TANKS
It contains acids, alkali and coagulant to create optimum reaction conditions for sedimentation tank.
SEDIMENTATION TANK
It removes foam and solids. It uses a sieve to separate foam, coagulant is added to make suspended solids stick together and sink to the bottom of the tank as sludge.
SLUDGE TANKS
It collects sludge from sedimentation ad biological tanks.
