Three Phase Distribution Transformer is a very important part for power continuity and if it gets damaged then it takes a lot of time to replace it and we have never assured the safety of Three Phase Distribution transformer. Repairing the transformer again will be too much expensive and it seems to be impossible to prevent the Transformer from being damaged .We can’t even spend few hours without electricity. If any Distribution transformer in our surrounding gets damaged then there is no quick service to replace it. There is no any method that we can monitor ou transformers so that we can take further steps on time, so that we can save it from the worst case of replacing the transformer before it gets damaged.
Expected Faults appear in the Three Phase Distribution Transformer are over/under Voltages, Temperature of Oil & Temperature of HV, LV Windings, Oil Level Faults, etc. Our proposed system is about getting real-time monitoring of Distribution transformer health parameters. Sensors monitor the Current, Voltage and Temperature of the Transformer and send it over the internet. The main objective of the real time monitoring of the health conditions of the distribution transformer using IOT technology. The parameters such as Oil level, Oil Temperature, Winding Temperature, voltage and Load current of a transformer to be monitored, processed and recorded in servers.so that we can monitor the health.
For That Purpose, Our First Step is to design a Customized Oil Immersed Three Phase Distribution Transformer of 2KVA ratings by Planting the Sensors(ZMPT, ACS-712, Thermocouple,RTD-PT100 Sensor, Float Switch Type Sensor, Ultrasonic) Inside the Transformer to monitor the Health in real-time via IoT Technology. Sensors inside the body of Three Phase Distribution transformer sense Transformer Parameters and send this data to webserver. On webserver, data of transformer is saved, and we can view condition of 3 transformers graphically. In this way, we can monitor the Oil Level, Oil Temperature, Winding temperature, Load Current & Voltage of Three Phase Distribution Transformer to monitor its Health.
We can save it from the worst case of replacing the transformer before it gets damaged timely, assure the safety of the Transformer and Reduce the Maintenance Cost of the Transformer by detecting a fault timely.
We can monitor the Oil Level, Oil Temperature, Winding temperature, Load Current & Voltage of Three Phase Distribution Transformer to monitor its Health.
We can even check transformer past record as data is stored on webserver and can be monitored in form of graph Control room can check condition on webserver and act if needed.
By this Project, we can prevent the Transformer from being damaged before reaching the Safety limits of Parameters we have been notified using IOT so in this way we can assure the safety of Transformer. We can assure the safety of Transformer, We can Reduce the Maintenance Cost of Transformer by detecting a fault and replace it Timely. If the oil level of the transformer is low and the oil temperature becomes high, beyond a certain limit, you can replace it before blasting first.
