Project Summary

Coal mining is the process of extracting coal from the ground. Underground mining industry comes to the category, where each and every parameter such as methane gas, high temperature, fire accidents and so on has to be monitored regularly. Safe production level of coal mine is still low, disasters in coal mine occur frequently, which lead to great loss of possession and life. The disasters happening in coal mine are due to the complexity of mine environment and the variety of work carried out in coal mine, so it is very necessary to monitor the working environment of coal mine. To get over this problem, we are going to make the Coal Mine Monitoring Safety and Surveillance System. . We will develope the network of sensors to detect different gasses inside coal mine and the main aim is to make Alarming system which will based on IOT and that will be integrated on smart phones. After detection of gases we’ll develop a fresh air automated system along with Exhausts and filters. And it last we’ll neutralize the gasses.

• Development of sensors network for detecting different gases inside coal mine.
• IOT based Thread Alarming system integrated on smart device.
• Development of Automated fresh Air Supply system along with Exhaust.

Project Implementation Method

Step 1: Make the device that sense the quantity of gases.

Step 2:Implement on the exhaust

Step 3:Control the speed of the exhaust depending on the concentration of gases.

Step 4: Make a prototype that act as coal mine and inner atmosphere of prototype will as same as coal mine and then perform the experiment.

Benefits of the Project

The benefits of the project are:

• Its save the human life. It cannot increase the quantity of harmful gases in coal mine and provide the healthy environment.
• Environmental friendly  it cannot just exhaust the gases it filter the methane and other gases and turn it into useful products.
• Energy saving.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

The prototype will make for the testing purpose and record the data and pressure through IOT. The prototype will act as a coal mine and the coal mine Situation will build the coal mine atmosphere will create and test the process.
