IOT BASED CITY WATER MONITORING SYSTEM
In this project, a system would be designed to monitor water quality and quantity of supply water in different parts of city in real time using internet of things. This system will be made for cities that have proper water supply system. Our system would be installed in water storage tanks across the city. This system would monitor pH ,temperature ,turbidity, tds(total dissolved solids) of water. Water level and quality information will be used to control water flowing into the tank. In this way, authorities would be able to identify contamination of water at the earliest stage. The sensor data would be sent to cloud and web server and it can be monitored from anywhere in the world using web page. Moreover water flowing into the tank would be controlled using this data. The project will be implemented in form of product.
To analyze the data collected.
First we will interface Temperature Sensor, Turbidity Sensor, TDS (Total Dissolved Solid), ph. sensors, then interface water level sensor to check water. Then we will monitor the output of these sensors through IoT(Internet of Things). We will control the level of water by using motor. We will implement this project in the form of product.
We will make two modules and install them at different places and monitor them through IoT. We will also analyze the data .
This system can easily be used in housing societies and smart cities where there is proper water distribution.
The final deliverable of the project is to have product that will monitor the quality of water through a website. If the there is any change in the water quality, then system will give the alert. The water flowing into tank will be controlled through web interface. Through IoT the data will be send to cloud and analyzed , give the graphs of the parameters i.e. pH, TDS, Turbidity etc. At the end we will have the product.
