Intelligent Poultry Farm System (IPFS) is a smart solution for Poultry Owners. The awareness for the health of poultry birds, as well as the quality of products, has increased. Many problems arise while taking good care of the poultry birds as it is a very tedious and intricate task which demands a lot of alertness and minimum errors. Labor required to do the job takes a lot of time and also increases the cost. On the other hand, a lacking of labor in the chicken production process has affected fresh chicken export, which is found to be the principal problem. Introducing Automation in Poultry Industry has brought an enormous change in terms of observation and also helps to stay aware of the current conditions of the poultry farm. Without this system to achieve these tasks a lot of laborers are required for the constant needs of the birds, but this technology has helped in reducing manual work and give ease of operations to the workers as well as owners. IoT has made the operation of the farm easy and very on the go. Due to this technology, the concerned person can get real-time data whenever required through a cloud and can make use of it to make any necessary changes to the current conditions.
In this solution, we are introducing a system to control real-time temperature, humidity, food and water mechanism, fire protection system, and object detection through DIP. It is a low cost and effective design to help users to take good care of the poultry birds. This will increase the output of this business as well as the quality of the product.
Project ObjectivesThis project is to give a smart solution to the poultry owners who are still facing a lot of problems to handle the internal environment of the poultry farm.
They have to heir a person for this purpose to monitor the internal environment of the poultry farm
There’s an issue with that firstly they have to give some vaccination to those employees who get into the controlled shed without this vaccination its dangerous for them to get in there so we are giving a smart solution in which poultry owner can handle the internal environment of the poultry farm with the help of mobile application
He can manage each and every other record of the poultry farm on a web application
He can maintain his record of sale purchase expenditure employees record feed record and all other records.
Our project IPFS based on both Hardware and Software.
For developing an Intelligent Poultry Farm Management System, we have used the following hardware components, which complement our software. We have used Raspberry Pi 4, a high performance, and low power processor. This project uses a regulated 5V & 3.3V, 1A power supply. We have also used various sensors like Temperature sensor, Humidity sensor, Dust Sensor, Water Level Sensor, Smoke Sensor, LDR, Camera, DC motor, Different Chips, etc for developing this system which helps us automate various tasks.
The software modules connect raspberry Pi4 to smartphones and remote database servers. The raspberry Pi4 reads the real-time notification from the microcontroller, the threshold value (min and max) is set for all senor inputs. Raspberry Pi4 checked the connection between all the parameters and receiving movements of each and every parameter and send the data to the protocols via IP Address of sockets which should be stored in a server.
In the case of software, we make a website for holding continuous data getting from sensors through raspberry pi, and the android app to get continuous notifications from different devices and sensors and also to perform certain functions.
Benefits of the ProjectIn order to understand the benefits of the project we differentiate between the existing systems and our system, we will focus on the current systems and their characteristics.
Agriculture and poultry are the backbones of any country’s economy. Indeed, there is a strong correlation between agricultural growth and economic prosperity. While poultry is raised for egg and meat production, farmers experience a huge financial loss because of inaccurate weather forecasts and ineffective methods employed in conventional farming. Therefore, new effective technological approaches are required to continuously improve the productivity, profitability, and sustainability of our major farming systems. There are various systems available in the market that claims to provide the management of records of poultry farming and control of temperature, lights, and humidity in the poultry farms manually where a person needs to go inside the poultry farm and check readings then take action which is harmful to a person’s health so there should be a system which controls the whole internal scenario by not going inside the poultry farm. We analyze all the available systems in the market that claim to provide solution for poultry systems and try to draw out their deficiencies and weaknesses. After that, we will compare our proposed solution to the available systems in the market and see how our proposed solution is filling all the gaps and shortcomings that are present in the currently available solutions.

We will deliver a box which will work 24/7. In this box, all hardware components are connected together and work properly according to the requirements. Its structure looks like a professional farm from the outside look.
