We are developing mobile application using android SDK to identify the behavior of the vehicle driver using OBD-II device. This mobile application gives trip results, real time projection using Google map API, street view, save trip data in SQLite database and transfer data to cloud for generating reports. Our application also acquires the vehicle information such as car speed, sudden lane changes and harsh breaking. The application or such system can significantly improve driver’s behavior all over the country

Project Implementation Method

Identifying driver behavior using the OBD-II device gives the results of good driving, bad driving or average driving. On the basis of type of driving it will get a penalty or reward. Our application will be very helpful for these identifications. We are using google map APIs for this process.

The specifics of the design are for our proposed idea and is focused around our requirements. We will use Android Studio for this purpose, java programming language, SQLite database and Cloud. Application is then tested and evaluated by evaluating all the core features of the project

Benefits of the Project

Beneficiary of using this application is to monitor trip information with respect to behavior of the driver for parents, organizations, regulatory bodies licensing authorities, traffic violations or insurance companies
