Automation is term used to define things are doing work by electronically and mechanically by pressing just one button on a remote or any other mobile device. Now a day we can automate hardware devices through Android software. We can operate equipment’s such as large machinery, home appliances and for home security purpose, even detect temperature through sensors. Communication is required as a host for these systems such as Wi-Fi. 
We are creating this application instead of any remote for automation because every person have their personal android phone and they can easily control their home appliances and security system for their home, and sometimes remote device is misplaced or destroyed. Another reason is that remote device is hard to carry when you are outside from home but your personal phone is always with you. So users can easily control home automation appliances and security-based system through one application through their android mobile phone. So technology is in your one hand in your one app.

Project Objectives

The objectives of this project are The basic aim of Home automation is to control or monitor signals from different appliances, or basic services. A smart phone or web browser can be used to control or monitor the home automation system. It is easy to use because many operations are done by using mobile application only. It is also time saving application. This application is User friendly. 

Managing all of your home devices from one place. The convenience factor here is enormous. Flexibility for new devices and appliances. Maximizing home security. Remote control of home functions. Increased energy efficiency. Improved appliance functionality.Home management insights to design and develop a wireless communication link to monitor our organizations that require high security like Banks, Offices etc.

Project Implementation Method

In this, Arduino and Nodemcu are communicating with each other. We used Firebase database that stores all the data and this database is linked to Nodemcu. The database is then associated with Android app that receives the data coming from nodemcu to Firebase. All the data is send to Nodemcu and Nodemcu fetch the data from Firebase. To perform the required event, Nodemcu checks the event, the event can be execute in two ways:
1: It is either the event to trip the relay or
2:  to trip the relay through sensors
For controlling the lights, Nodemcu sends data to Arduino, Arduino then sends this data to relaybox and lights can be easily control after controlling our relay.
For image processing, we use Esp32cam module in this project. This Esp32cam module will process the image and check whether the image has mask or not. If it detects the existence of mask, the door will automatically open but if there is no mask, the door will never open.

Benefits of the Project

The benefit of this project is that we can easily make the system of any home smart and we can control it via the protocol of Google assistant. Any type of app can be developed to control the appliances of any home, office or bank. 
By the use of images processing for opening the door, this project will help us in letting on only healthy persons to be entered the office or home. The situation like COVID requires this type of system to be adopted for safety precautions. The benefit of this project is the trend of smart cities or smart societies. The project is providing the alert system for homes as well as offices which is the basic need of every individual in this technological era.

The benefit  of a home automation system is to control your home using one application. It's save your time effort and also save your home security. Consider some of these benefits: Remote access: Control your home from mobile devices, including your laptop, tablet, or smartphone. Comfort: Use home automation to make your home a more comfortable. Automation of main gate as open and close. Notification send to app when temperature is too high or low. Home appliances control through app. It provides security when any wrong activity performs and send a message to your mobile phone even when you are not at home.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

Deliverables:-
1: Nodemcu is interfaced with Firebase. All data is placed on Firebase. Data is sent and received from Firebase.
2. All the sensors are interface to control relays. Data coming from sensors is transmitted to app.
3. Mask is detected to open or close the door
4. If the Battery of laptop is full or low, we can protect it from being damaged by controlling the relays.
