Project Summary

“Give2Share” project will spread the attitude of sharing and giving what we owe to others. Give2Share application is aimed to help the lower class or low-income families and create a sense of solidarity through modern techniques. It will certainly aim at closing the gap in terms of quality of life for the less fortunate citizens. Our project “Give2Share” provides a charity help to the needy people. The person who is giving something will help the needy people in multiple forms like giving any type of item, food, money, dress etc. If someone wants to donate any item so they will have to post the item name, image, its condition and description and upload it on the application. After the approval of the share item is accepted by the admin, then the person will be notified that there item is posted on the application and the requester (i.e. needy once) easily view and can request for that particular item. They have to visit the center or particular location to get anything they requested. On the other hand, the person who is giving has to visit our charity service center to submit their item or we can collect their item by providing “You call we collect” service. After submitting, the admin will publish that post to the viewers that the item is available. Admin accept the requests on the basis of the people data and notify them to collect the item from the charity center. The donor will be fully satisfied with their donation that their donation is reached to the needy once. A Transparency is maintained for both donor and requester. Donors can also donate money easily using our Give2Share system services like donate via Easypaisa, donate via JazzCash etc. Initially, Give2Share administration approves the requests on manual basis by scrutinizing the data and documents provided by the needy people (i.e. requestors).

Project Objectives

Give2Share project objective is to provide a platform to donate used or unwanted items and request for donated items online.
This system will make it easier for anyone to donate anything they want in a simple way and the least troubling way, because the people who are needy can easily request for the items through mobile application.
Give2Share system would allow donors to donate new, old and used items or goods such as clothing, electronic appliances, furniture, food, or computer accessories, etc. by posting/uploading the items using Give2Share application.
Give2Share system would allow donors to donate money for multiple types of donations like Aqiqa, Sadqah, Monthly Rashan, Education, etc.
This system would provide ways to donors to Donate Online, Donate via Bank, and Donate via Easy paisa, Donate via Jazz Cash and Donate by “You call we collect” to collect your donations from your location.
Give2Share system would allow requestors i.e. low-income families, less fortunate people, needy, etc. to request for an item or money using our application.
Give2Share administration would approve the requests on manual basis by scrutinizing the data and documents provided by the needy people (i.e. requestors).
Give2Share administration would inform donors (if they want to get informed) about their donation through email, Whatsapp and call to give donors a peace of mind that their donation will only be used as they intended.
Give2Share application would provide three panels: Donors, Requestors and Admin. Initially users have to register by selecting them as donor or requestor.
Give2Share application would allow users to create a profile by providing sufficient information about themselves that need help. The information can be personal, family info, job status, education, etc.
Give2Share charity organization authenticate that a requestors and their needs are genuine. Legitimate requestors can register and remain on our platform.
Give2Share project enable people to easily request the items without any hesitation and embarrassment.

Project Implementation Method

First we will design a database. In order to have better management of data, this system uses MYSQL database system, which is mainly used to storing all kinds of related information of the items and requestor information details; the system mainly establishes the table of items, requests, users, and posts. Then we will create android application using android studio using Java and some other supporting programming language to implement and set up our UI for the app. Well will need some graphic, image designing using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe illustrator to make the UI interactive and simple for the user so that they can easily use it. The application could have been using different modules depending upon the requirement of our process and development. This is our structure or skeleton of our application that is created first. In next step there would be the main work and process that is to be included to make our required output successful. Now in next Step we will create some module that would be needed to integrate with our application. The main function modules of the system include Item donation management, item request management and implementation of user login and registration. And the system supports MYSQL which interact with database and perform data manipulation. A Servlets classes are written to handle requests of requestors. These entire modules must be integrated to the system through which we can implement on our skeleton that we would have made. These are the implementation steps that we will be acquiring to completing our projects it may be depends upon our requirement gathering and analysis of all the processes and modules.

Project definition: In this document the description of the project and its scope, aims and objectives and features of the project is defined.
Work plan: This include the planning of the project in which project plan is created in the form of Gantt chart, project resources, etc.
SRS Document: This includes the requirement and analysis of the project. All the UML diagrams are attached here.
Application and Website Prototype: A prototype is design to share how our system will work.
System Architecture & Design document: This includes System Architecture Design, System Models and Database Design of the project.
Design Document: This includes the design of the interfaces and which tools & technologies are required to use will be mentioned here.
System Development Document: This includes Implementation Methodology, project modules; features are expressed in detail and coding of the project.
User Manual Document: This document will describe how to use the system. A guide manual for the users.
System Testing Document: This includes Testing plans, testing approaches and strategies, testing criteria, test cases and testing review from the users and the system testers.
Project Report/Thesis: Overall report of the project from starting to the end.
Give2Share Mobile Application: Mobile Application with two user panels: Donor panel and Requestor (needy) panel. Each panel would contain different functionality according to the users need. Give2Share application would be simple to use with an easy interface that a common people can easily use it.
Give2Share Website (For Users): Give2Share Website for the users to donate and request through website. Simple and easy to use web interface that a common people can easily use it.
Give2Share Website (For Administration/Admin): Administrator panel to operate, manage, update Give2Share services. View reports and have privilege to access database.
