Project Area of Specialization RoboticsProject Summary

The core intension of our project is to study the complete designing process of Quad copter from the
engineering perspective and to fabricate a working model of Quad copter with improvement in its weight
carrying capacity. Our main goal is to fabricate a Quad copter, which can be used for firefighting. With
the help of resources and technical knowledge, we are able to demonstrate the task of putting water on the
fire effected areas. We chose the Quad copter for project because of its flexibility, high learning
opportunity and potential of future research. This project can go further in variety of research work to
integrate various technologies with Quad copter to get various useful outputs.

Project Objectives

We have successfully demonstrated a fire figthing drone by attaching a pipe to it and maintained its stability at a height of 20 ft.

Now we three group members along with our supervisor are aiming to power the quadcopter by providing a live wire in parallel to the battery through special cables. This will enhace the battery time of the quadcopter. Once this is acomplish the quadcopter will stay longer time in air while performing the following vertical tasks.

1.Fire fighting.

2.Solar panels maintaince.

3.Windturbine maintaince.

4. Street lights maintaince.

5. And also large buildings maintaince.

Project Implementation Method

Once the project is finalize, the next step will be for comercalization of our prototype. We will collaborate with government fire fighting departments and share the knowledge. Together we will make the successful implementation. We are also looking forward to have join partnership with private fire extinguisher companies, Solar companies for the maintance of high mounted solar pannels, Agriculture departments for enhancing the agriculture stock, and Miltary departments for hard military operations. etc
