Agriculture is a colossal sector of the Pakistan economy. Its share to Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is almost 19 per cent and absorbs around 42 percent labor force of the country (Pakistan Economic Survey, 2017-18). In spite of a large share in Pakistan economy, agriculture is lagging behind in many aspects, characterized by poor connectivity and disintegration of market, unreliable and delayed information to the farmers, small land holdings, non-adoption or less adoption of improved technology, optimum price of the farm produce and so on. It has become indispensable to keep farmers updated about modern technologies, technological adoption and relevant information for good crop production to pace up in current technological era.
FarmEase is offering multi solutions with advanced technology of internet of things (IoT) for tracking, monitoring, automating and analyzing operations under one umbrella. With the use of this app, farmers would be able to take timely decisions and could be able to enhance crop yield and profits. We will be using low cost sensors and hardware so that FarmEase could be accessible for an average farmer.
To provide an efficient decision support system using sensors that suggest crops and handle different activities and generate complete plan for the suggested crops.
To make farming easy. Reduce physical efforts by using IOT devices and drone. Reduce computational efforts by generating reports. Suggest future plans.
Increase profit rate.
The project will take approximately 12 months from the date of initiation. We will be following Scrum model as development process. However, we would proceed with code reviews, software configuration management, software quality assurance and software project management practices as well.
For development of the app we use Android Studio and for machine learning algorithms we are using Jupiter Notebook.
Trello.com would be used for collaboration of the tasks
Github would be used for the code management.
There are many reasons to implement a smart agriculture solution into commercial and local farming. In a world where the internet of things is accelerating adoption of data gathering and automation, an important industry such as agriculture can surely benefit.
Monitoring and collecting data for soil moisture, air temperature, air humidity and sunlight intensity across multiple fields will improve efficiency of water usage and crop yield of large and local farms. As the world population increases, farming and food production will have to increase with it. Low cost sensors, data insights and IoT Platforms will enable this increase in efficiency and production.

Collect live data about soil texture from sensor implanted in agricultural land.
Suggest suitable crop(s) to be harvested based on soil data & location
Predict the yield of crop w.r.t agriculture form area.
Generate a complete crop plan with schedule including land preparation, seeds reaping, irrigation, fertilizer and pesticides plan.
Administration of crop schedule
Real time monitoring of crop using Agricultural drone/camera
Record crop activity with expense
Alert farmer on SMS about due activity of crop plan
Get live data from field through sensor daily & suggest an activity.
Generate a post-harvest plan of crop
Suggest nearby markets from farmer’s location on map with price of crop to be sell out.
