As we all know that the coronavirus pandemic has changed nearly every aspect of our daily lives. With over half of the global workforce working from home because of the coronavirus pandemic. As many physical business locations are shut down, consumers are turning to online shopping to meet their needs.

In Pakistan, Daraz is the dominant shopping site that is offering a lot of goods and items. Which has helped consumers as well as sellers to grow their sales. For sellers to get higher visibility over their competitors, product research is very important, and competitive analysis is necessary. 

Taking product research which includes competitive analysis, keyword research, ranking, listing age, and ROI (return on investment) calculator to sell online. Taking that in line, for sellers to grow their business we come up with the idea of EScout. Our tool will help sellers find new niches, set competitive but profitable prices, track products offered by other sellers, and aggregate market data. On EScout sellers will get the leading all-in-one platform for finding, launching, and selling Daraz products. Users will learn what’s selling; Uncover high-demand, low-competition keywords to find products with maximum profit potential on Daraz. And they will also be able to track how products sell over time; save and monitor product ideas so you never lose out on an opportunity and track a product or group of products to evaluate sales over time and spot trends, unexpected spikes, and seasonality. And finally, they will be able to evaluate product potential; Narrow your search with the most comprehensive product research filters, as well as a profit calculator to help you compare price, revenue, and fees for each product opportunity.

For years, VAs (Virtual Assistants) have been using spreadsheet records to track down niches and a product on eCommerce sites. With EScout you have many opportunities to explore the market as a seller. Escout will help sellers find new niches, set competitive but profitable prices, track products offered by other sellers, and aggregate market data.

You’ll really struggle to do all of that on your own with a spreadsheet.

Project Objectives

Our mission is to provide powerful data and resources to help entrepreneurs and brands grow successful businesses on Daraz. Our main objective is to eliminate the hiring of a VA to track products and to bring everything of a product on the dashboard to sellers. 

The EScout project will meet the following objectives:

• Users should be able to track down products listed on  Daraz
• Users should be able to check the historical data of a product
• Users should be able to see listings and use profit calculator
• Users should be available to extract keywords and ranking of a product

Planning

In the first phase of the project cycle, it's beneficial to establish a plan that meets the expectations. Before implementing a project, assess the plan and make sure that everyone on the team understands the project deliverables.

It includes:

Execute the plan

During this step, measure the project's timeline against the projected schedule and monitor resources to ensure the team has what they need to complete the project successfully.

Make changes as needed

It's likely that we need to make changes during implementation, such as to address additional requests from the supervisor/FYP committee to keep the project within its scope. Make these adjustments as necessary, relying on the project plan to identify solutions

Analyze project data

Throughout the implementation phase of a project, it's important to analyze data consistently to measure how a project is progressing against the initial projections.

Gather feedback

Once the team has completed the project deliverables, there are still some essential steps left in the process. Gather feedback from the project team, VAs, and stakeholders about the EScout's outcome, assessing what parts of the project went according to plan and what areas the team could improve in the future. 

Provide final reports And, in the last part of the implementation phase, provide reports to the FYP team, VAs, and stakeholders outlining how the project performed against the projected budget and timeline.  Benefits of the Project

The goal of EScout is to eliminate the manual approach of hiring VAs or tracking products while wasting hours and hours to analyze and conclude the product. In order to counter it, we come up with the idea of a more tech-specific and e-commerce-oriented solution to help sellers grow. The benefits are the following:

Sellers will be

• able to track and haunt products.
•  Sellers will be able to track products over a period of time to analyze their sales, reviews, and other performance metrics.
• able to rank your products higher in search on sites with very less giveaways and bleeding costs
• can verify niches online with simple clicks.
• use the profit calculator to calculate commissions, launch budget, and your net profit in a few click
• track keywords.
