Project Summary

So, we are leaving them behind they don’t get the proper privilege of this technology. Through our app E-diary we are trying to bring previous generation or aged people close to this privilege. As we know aged people face difficulty in remembering things like the phone numbers of relatives etc. They also need help in remembering that they need to take medicine at that time. Health tips for them. If an aged person wants all that in smart phone, he has to switch different apps, also he has to remember the front end of every app.

E-Diary provided everything for aged people at single platform with easy guiding. No more switching apps. They can create reminders, write notes, play music and many more at single platform.

Project Objectives

To develop an automated diary application with the following goals:

To eliminate paper work:

Too much paper is used in making paper diaries. It is the total waste of resources. When we can use digital system to store all kind of information using technology.

Provide secrecy:

E-Diary will provide much better security then simple paper diaries. Sensitive information can be stored in it without any fear of losing data.

Less requirement of individual apps:

E-Diary will provide many functionalities at one place. Old people don’t have to use different apps for different tasks. Old people face difficulty in remembering many things. This app will provide them ease.

Increase Productivity:

E-Diary will also increase the productivity of old people. Old people are usually behind the technology not knowing much about the technology. This app will have user friendly and easy Graphical User Interface to increase the productivity of old people.

Ease of Use:

E-Diary will have tutorial system to help old people learn about the app and be able to use it more efficiently.

Benefits of the Project

E-Diary is application for aged people. It has all necessary features which can help aged people in their daily lives. Compatible user interface, easy to use, aged people can write their stuff and save it. Of course, different input methods will be provided, like keyboard, voice input etc. Scheduling, different activities like games, music, news updates etc. Healthcare functionalities will also be available in E-Diary. The main aim of the application is to provide such a platform to aged people where they can perform mostly functionalities at one place. They don’t have to use different apps for different purpose.

Health:

It would also help old people to keep their health in check. It will measure and record pulse rate of person and generate response and suggestion on abnormal pulse rate. It will keep history of pulse rate so it can be helpful in further diagnosis. It will count how many steps that person has taken today and if the count is below average then it would generate notification that you must at least walk more. We all know that walking is very important and healthy for aged people.

Weather Updates:

Weather updates are very essential in our daily lives today where weather keeps changing. For old people to keep in touch with is very important because young people can easily deal with weather uncertainties but it is difficult for old people.

Notepad:

Notepad is main and important functionality of diary where old people can write and also store in audio what happened in their day. Also, they can keep important information like bank account number etc so it can be easily found when needed.

News:

News updates will also be provided in diary on the with notification. So old people can catch up to every news. Old people are very in knowing what’s happening in their surroundings, country and all over the world.

Scheduling:

Old people usually forget important dates like an appointment to doctor or their medicine time etc. E-Diary will let them know by notification that an important date is nearby and also on that date at the start of the day.

Games:

There will be simple games for old people in diary and suggestion to other games. So old people can play those games in their free time and enjoy their time.

Music:

Music is now very important in our daily lives. People usually listen music in their free time or to relax themselves. Aged people would be able to listen to songs of their liking. There would be video songs to enjoy music with videos.

Videos:

Aged people can enjoy different kind of videos. Funny videos, music videos, informational videos and many more.
