Easyio is a software-based solution that provides a platform to customers so they don’t have to wait in queues during their shopping and they can also avoid the total hassle of counters by paying online. Normally the customers have to get their products scanned in order to pay this results in a long waiting time but Easyio allows customers to reduce their waiting time on counters and they can also have the option to pay online. Furthermore, customers can easily locate the products in supermarkets.

Project Objectives

Easyio is a system to accommodate the customers in the supermarkets. It solves the bottleneck problem created at the counters of supermarkets. During rush hours when the number of customers increases the numbers of counters to deal them remain the same. Also, the products have to be scanned in order to generate the bill. However, this can be overcome if users have already scanned every product in their cart. After that, they also have the option to pay online or through an express counter which only requires the customer to show the bill and pay. Another, problem that users normally go through at the supermarkets is they don't know about the location of the products. The system provides them the location of every product by row numbers.

Project Implementation Method

The system is deployable across Android (Lollipop 5.0 and above) and iOS (10.0 and above) devices. The mobile application for customers is implemented in Flutter and the admin panel is implemented in Ruby and connected with the Firebase database.

Benefits of the Project

The system will help to revolutionize the supermarket in an effective way. Many supermarkets have a larger daily influx of customers which puts great pressure on their counters. Also, it results in customers' time being wasted on counters. The system will help the customers doing shopping in the supermarkets and reduce the waiting time on counters. Also, admins can use the system to reorganize their store in order to increase the sales of their products.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

The final project will be a complete mobile App for customers implemented using flutter. The admin will be implemented using Ruby on Rails. Firbase will be used as the database for the project.
