This project has accomplished that objective by employing a drone to perform remote power line inspections. Thermal image inspection of power lines is an industry-wide method for detecting present or potential faults in power lines and other electrical equipment. Electric utility companies currently perform their inspection through inspection team, they will disconnect electricity and time-consuming operation. To address this issue, our team has to create a drone-mountable system to be used in the detection of defective power lines. Detection is performed using a thermal camera and microprocessor mounted on a drone. Video from the thermal camera is transmitted to a base station for human viewing. When a problem is detected, the operator instructs the system to record the thermal video.

Project Implementation MethodWe are implementing our project under the supervision of supervisior, by making flowcharts adopted different method and techniques in our project. First of all we assembled our project, trained it, mounted camera and image processing in it, set output of camera on mobile application through which we can easily detect different problems in lines
Benefits of the Project1) Minimized the risk of life.
2) Manual inspection carried out too much time.
3) Staff will be reduced and definitely cost will reduce.
Technical Details of Final DeliverableThermal image inspection of power lines for detecting present or potential faults in power lines and other electrical equipment. We are doing image processing and using different plateform to capture the actual image of defected area.The technologies were analyzed for relevance in a first, simplified prototype. The decision was made to focus on the second item; passing obstacles. The reasoning behind this decision is that climbing past obstacles is the most difficult to achieve and at the same time the only really novel technology. Passing obstacles is the sine qua non of the line inspection drone.
