The food restaurant with an automated food ordering system will be equipped with a user-friendly touch screen, a display screen in the kitchen, and software for completing the process at the backend. For this integral, there will be a system bureaucrat who will have the immunity to enter the menu with their current rampant prices. The system admin can enter anytime in the system by a secured system password to the innovation of the cuisine contents by enumerating or expunging an item or changing its price. Now when the customer enters the restaurant, the customer will place his order with the aid of the contact to the screen using the visceral graphical user interface, right from the selection of menu items, confirming the order, and viewing offers. The customer will select from the food options according to his choice and the system will display the payment amount customer has to make once finished with the order

Project Objectives

We will build an android application for our purposed system. It will have a nice user-friendly interface, where the user can do his required tasks. The interface will provide some common functionality like ordering food, customizing recipes, paying bills through applications also playing games during waiting time. It will have an easy interface and users will have no time to get used to it. The system will have a feedback option where users can give feedback on a certain recipe or the restaurant which will be helpful for other customers.

Project Implementation Method

The customer will be provided with a digital menu/tablet, that will be available on each table. The customer will be able to order their food with the help of the application that we are developing. This application will provide an attractive menu with high-quality images of the food. This application will have easy to use user interface so the customer can order their food without any complications. The high-quality images used in the digital menu will help the customer to see what the actual food looks like. The customer will be able to customize the recipes of the food items available on the digital menu according to their own choice. The customer will be provided with an option to add notes to the customized recipe, this way they can tell the chef how their food should be cooked. Tablets being available at every table, the customer will be able to order the food any time they want. By using this system, the customers don’t have to wait for the waiter/staff to order their food. This will make the user experience much better.  

The proposed system/Application will also provide the customer to pay the bill through the application itself by just scanning the QR-Code. The proposed system will also allow the user to add tips for the waiter/server who serves them food. This application will also allow the customer to give feedback to the staff. Customers will be able to add ratings for the specific dishes or the overall restaurant which will help the other customers when they visit the restaurant.
