This open waste disposal contaminates the air, water and land all the three which leads to hazardous diseases and poisonous environment including greenhouse effect and global warming. From 100% waste disposal only (10-15) % is recycled annually and for other (85-90) % no proper management system is carried out.
The population is growing at a rapid rate so as the waste which leads to increase in dangerous diseases like malaria. We need to manage this waste to create a healthy environment and to do so we have to begin the change from our own houses where people can convert their kitchen waste to some useful products using an intelligent and efficient machine available at low cost. In this study we will focus on the transformation of this waste, the waste is first grinded well using a crusher or a grinder then it is passed to the dehydrator where all of its moisture will be dehydrated and the product will be available as a fine power or in a size of tablet depending upon the type of grinder used. This final product is then mixed with right amount of water and is supplied to crops where needed. This whole process doesn’t include any harmful effects neither to human health nor to the environment.
- To design and develop a mechanical structure which has capability to dehydrate and crush the organic waste.
- To interface multiple sensors with Arduino at dehydrator and crusher level in order to measure different parameters to make smart machine.
- To integrate both hardware and software with Arduino in order to control different parameters of machine i.e. humidity, temperature, level (weight) and flow.
To start work, we must have an idea that how this work has been done in the past and how can we improve the product and enhance it to make it more reasonable in respect of both cost and usage. For this project, we studied many methods i.e. getting a useful product from waste by passing waste to several steps. Based on literature survey we will design an implementable, feasible and well reliable circuit. After the circuit design hardware is selected accordingly and in the next step this hardware will be assembled together as a working model as the hardware includes grinder, dehydrator, mixer and a control unit which will help the model to meet the requirements of this modern world. Hardware testing is the major part of project. We have to test hardware and assure that it will perform all dedicated tasks effectively. In the next step of the project we will write in detail about all the measures we took, all the processes and concepts we used, all the mechanism we dealt with and all the improvements we made to justify this project.
