Project Summary

Industrial grade high resolution cameras developed by Sony outputs video in digital form from 8-bit parallel digital port with clock synchronization. Separate modules are required for decoding this data and encode it again for an IP Protocol to get live stream on required display system. This project have two parts. First of all study of 8-bit digital port and Bt656 video protocol. Decode data from camera using microcontroller of FPGA. Second part is to convert decoded digital data to IP Protocol. Develop server for live video stream and control over assigned IP Address and fabricate the module. The module should also be capable of converting Analogue video to IP Protocol.

Project Objectives

(a) Study of video protocols for SD and HD Videos.
(b) Digital parallel port decoder from Sony FCB-EX 1020P.
(c) IP protocol encoder and IP Server at assigned IP Address.
(d) Module Fabrication and Practical Testing.

Project Implementation Method

The camera will take the video and will send the signals to the FPGA in this PYNQ will be used because they have a clock of 500 MHz so the quality of the video will be fine and there will be no loss of the data. Open cv will be used to show us the live feed by using bt.656 internet protocol.

Benefits of the Project

It can be used in surveillance purposes. We can also use it for security purposes we can know the movements of the people by sitting on the other side of the globe.

Following are the technical objectives of the project:
(a) A thorough study of videos.
(b) A comprehensive analysis of PYNQ.
(c) Study and understanding the working of Sony FCB0-EX1020P.
(d) A comprehensive study of Python language.
(e) A comprehensive understanding of Internet Protocols.
