Project Area of Specialization Electrical/Electronic EngineeringProject SummaryAs the matter of fact, each day passing by brings a new advancement and solutions, Electric vehicles have been preferred over conventional vehicles (vehicles that consume fuel) for numerous factors i.e. environmental friendly, no emission of carbon dioxide and no air pollution. On the other hand, conventional vehicles breed contagious issues; air pollution has been major complication and Pakistan is getting into its fist.
To cut long discussion short, the sale of EVs has ranked sky, within that it has been interest of consumers and due to increased number of EVs power demand has, too, increased for their charging insofar. To tackle the energy crisis and switch to solar based charging whereby the design of solar based carport canopies are adopted to charge electric vehicles and to provide economical solutions.
Moreover, it causes dual use of space; firstly, it shadows the vehicle. Secondly, charges the vehicle. Besides, it reduces workload, installation cost and reduced load on grid.
In the last but not the least, the solar based carport canopies do not go through hard and fast rule while charging the vehicle but it is convenient to use and monitor.
Project Objectives- To develop and design of solar based carport canopies for charging of EVs.
- To stimulate and establish charging system through solar energy at certain locations and conditions.
- To accomplish sustainable system with following parameters
- Efficiency of electric vehicles
- Method of charging and speed of charging
- Performance of electric vehicles.
- Literature review on the basis of realm field has been done by analysis of various aspects
- Designing of carport canopies for charging of EVs at certain geographic locations
- Cost analysis of the both electric vehicles and conventional vehicles on the mainstream of charging to ensure specific investment
- Solution of energy crisis
- Improves the industrialization of Pakistan

The success of project solves the concern of EVs’ industries, it also adds new feature into it to attract the consumers.
This could possibly grow its mainstream business with modern feature.
Adding more it, this would surely fertilize and be a reason to switch to solar based charging system.
