The project is about the construction of a vertical axis wind turbine.Yet the wind turbine is being into two types except vertical axis there lies horizontal axis wind turbine as well .The vertical axis wind turbine is a turbine consists of a rotor at the centre along with blades mountes along with it .The primary or crutial function of the wind turbine is to generate feasible amount of electric energy by utilizing the wind power being harnessed through this project by means of heavy road traffic which will generate sufficient amount of turbulence in air. The wind will act as a force which derives the blades of the turbine.The turbine consists of generator.The generator then will exploit this mechanical energy and produce necessary electric energy. The energy then can be further supplied to power up highway lights or any electrical appliance depending upon the power output the turbine provides.
This project primarily focuses on generating electrical energy from a renewable energy source, namely wind energy created by fast moving automobiles on roads.Every day, we in Pakistan experience more load shedding than metropolitan areas.The lack of ways for transferring electrical energy from power plants to these locations is one of the key causes behind this.This initiative can assisst us in generating our own electrical energy ,which we can then use to deliver sufficient and affordable electrical energy to rural communities located near highways.
The methodology is that first comes the part of literature reviews. The literature provides the basic standard tables based on the calculation dimensions of the blades their diametre. The size of generator number of copper coils to ve induced the number of magnetss ro be imbedded and what type of magnets to be used. Which magnets produce or generate significant magnetic flux.
we can easily provide electricity to rural areas .It is a cheapest method to produce electricity and control the short fall especially in undeveloped contries
The project consisted of blades or propellers of 6 feet long. The assumed output power of the system is 50watt. For flux generator to be constructed should consist of more than 18 copped coils and double will be the amount of magnets. The type of magnets used will be Y30BH. Rectangular shaped will be preffered over ringed ones. The copper wire for this should contain 105 number of turns with 3 phase wiring method.
