Project Summary
The project, Density Based traffic control system using PLC, is a prototype project that is used to ease everyday main issue that is TRAFFIC. This project would sense the number of cars on each road and allow the green signal to the way with more number of cars which will ease and reduce pollution and traffic jamming.
Project Objectives
The main objective to gain through this system is to form a system that is reliable and less effort taking. it is based totally on sensors and can work easily on plc and can easily last long. The project gives economical, less power consuming, reliable and speedy system to control traffic signals.
Project Implementation Method
This advanced system can be implimented after removing all the old semi-automatic signals that were installed before independence of Pakistan by Britishers. The new signal lights should be installed along with sensors that senses the number of cars on each road.
Benefits of the Project
This project is economical, speedy, safe, less power consuming, reliable and long lasting one. it requires less amount of money and less mantenance.
Technical Details of Final Deliverable
In this project LEDs are used that will turn ON and OFF according to the requirment.A PLC is used that will be given commands through Programming at its Input. The sets of sensors are used that will sense number of cars and then pass the information to PLC and hence then PLC will transfer the results back to LEDs.
