Project Summary

Our project title is "REAL TIME MONITORING OF PUBLIC PLACE TO PROTECT PEOPLE FROM A SUSPECTED COVID-19 PATIENT" which will work for the spreading of disease which is COVID-19. As we know when the people after travelling from abroad came back to pakistan they didn't qurantined themselves and it became the cause of spreading COVID-19. So, basically our project will be targeting those people which would be travellers and came to thier city after travelling from other cities. This a project which would be detecting all such people who could be suspected COVID-19 patient ( especially those who travelled within last 14 days ). The main idea is all public places would be covered with the CCTV camera (public places coverage through CCTV cameras is already implemented in many countries like UAE, CHINA, UK etc). The database of airport security check will be shared shared that will contain the details of all people who travelled back in last two weeks. If any person who travelled back within 14 days is identified to be roaming in any public place, without any personal protectors (mask etc), will automatically receiving the message on his mobile phone that he/she was advised to remain in Quarantine. If there is no response from the person and still he/she is being detected under coverage of same CCTV area, an intimation to the concern department (that could include the medical staff and/or police) will be made to act in a way that other people can be remain unaffected from him/her.

Project Implementation Method

We will place CCTV camera to a public place, and we will design a database which will keep records of the travellers who came back in last two weeks. Then our camera would detect those people whose image would get match with the database records and it would notify the person thorugh thier message as he needs to quarantined themseleves. 

We would be using python for image processing. We would be connecting arduino to GSM for sending messages.

Overview:

Our main motive is to prevent people from this deadly virus which is COVID-19. Our goal is to design a mechanism which will detect people in the public places thorugh CCTV cameras. It can be used in any public areas to identify the people who recently travell with in 14 days and didnt quarantined themselves. and then it will notify on person contact number to qurantine themselves.

Our camera would be covering the public areas. and it would identify the persons and check thier images in datasets if it get matched with the database ones it our GSM module will send the alert message to the person that he/she should quarnatined themselves first,
