A cryptocurrency is a form of payment that can be exchanged online for goods and services. Many companies have issued their currencies, often called tokens, and these can be traded specifically for the goods or services the company provides. Think of them as slot machine tokens or casino chips. You will need to exchange real currency for cryptocurrency to access a product or service.

Cryptocurrencies operate using a technology called a blockchain. Blockchain is a decentralized technology spread across many computers that manage and record transactions. Part of the appeal of this technology is its safety.

The global blockchain market is projected to grow to 23.3$ billion by 2023. In 2018, cryptocurrency market size statistics showed that the blockchain market is only worth $1.2 billion. In 2019, that figure rose to $2.2 billion. Its annual growth is expected to continue to grow.

Project Implementation Method

I am building a mobile application using hybrid technology for a mobile app developer called Flutter. Flutter is an open-source UI software development kit created by Google. It is used to develop cross-platform applications for Android, iOS, Linux, macOS, Windows, Google Fuchsia, and the web from a single codebase. First described in 2015, Flutter was released in May 2017. Using Flutter you can build apps for both Android & iOS and also on the web. But for now, I do not include the web here.

Benefits of the Project

In the world of cryptocurrency, time is a critical factor as things can change quickly due to high market volatility. So for this, we need a crypto statistic aggregation platform to know about the cryptocurrency market and its prices. Cryptocurrencies prices are changing after every 3 seconds so we need to have some insights into the market and this app is the perfect use to know about the prices and insights about the market. This app will not only show the prices of cryptocurrencies but you can also set the limit of prices and if they match you will get notifications and many more. This app data will change dynamically.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

For the front-end, I am going to use Flutter technology which will work on both android & iOS. And for the back-end, I am using Firebase Firestore. To get real-time market data for cryptocurrencies I am using CoinGecko API which provides only 100 coins and has a specific request limit. I want to use their premium plan to get a thousand coins and unlimited requests.

I am also building an admin panel for this app where I can add coins that will be shown on the app. and also provide if this coin will show as a free or premium version. If it is in the premium version so the first user has to open this and before the opening first user will watch the third-party ads. I am also integrating custom ads which will come from firebase storage.

This app will include:

Admin Panel

FCM (Firebase Cloud Message) for instant notification.

In-app purchasing (using ads)

Custom ads that will come from Firebase storage
