In a City like Karachi, it is very difficult to find a person who is still free from facing any type of crime either in a form of mobile snatching or lost their valuable things. Everyday people lost their valuable things in armed robbery and in front of many people but the main thing which is noticed is that the people who see that incident are not able to do anything even if they want to, because the snatchers are armed and they can injure anyone if any citizen tries to stop them or catch them. Other than that, many accidents happen on daily basis and most people lost their lives since there is no efficient way of communicating with the relevant authorities. Therefore, a system has to be made so that there can be real-time communication between the citizens and the authorities, by which there can be a chance of catching culprits or in case of any accidents or emergency relevant authorities can be contacted immediately and save lives of many.

Project Objectives

The project objective is to combat crime as soon as they are committed and to catch the culprits using the technologies present and just a few steps from our public and authorities so make the city safe to move around for everyone.

The end result of this project is if significant users started to use this application as a good citizen, this application can help us in combating crimes as well as an immediate response to accidents saving the lives of many. Thus, improving the reputation of our country by slowly and gradually reducing the crime rate to 0%.

Project Implementation Method

The complex structure of our project is depending on multiple applications and through web server connections that will require live video sharing.

Our Project also has a module for detecting trained crime and generating alerts so we are also going to train a model on TensorFlow.js, this module requires an accurate understanding of the given input to generate the alerts on detection for this we are using android cameras and making them as a client.

For mobile applications, our software will only be supported on android and the version of android shall be above 4.4. For our web-application, the OS required will be windows. Since the data is sent over the internet all the devices (Mobile and Web) must be connected to the internet.

Our Project also had a feature of lost and found through which different users can upload their lost items in the lost field and they can find items also from the found page.

Our Implementation would start from the Mobile applications further we will connect it from the web servers and train the model on tensorflow.js for smart detection, our project also has some security aspects that are mentioned below.

The systems will communicate over the internet, so a stable connection is required.

FCM HTTP v1 API is the Protocol that is used in communication between mobile applications and web application. The user interface should not hang during any operation in both mobile applications as well as in web-application

Secure data communication by all means.

Instant Alerting System

All alert received will be instantly shown on the map of the web application as well as on the authority’s mobile application if the alert is generated from within their range

Instant camera access should be given and videos will be shown without lag.

The software will provide reliable data transfer between mobile applications and web application

  3. Web-Monitor (it is a web where a map will be shown and when the operator click on an alert the screen will navigate to the camera views of the location where crime has been detected)
  4. Android Camera (client which will be connected to the server and detects crime)
