Project Area of Specialization Shared EconomyProject SummaryConcentrating solar power (CSP) is one way of producing electricity using solar energy. Also called solar thermal electric power, this class of solar technologies utilizes concentrating solar collectors to focus the direct component of sunlight on a receiver where it is absorbed and heats a working fluid. The solar generated heat replaces the burning of fossil fuels, coal, and natural gas, in conventional heat engine generators to produce utility scale electricity.
Project Objectives- To propose an alternative to current heat transfer fluid (HTF) for concentrating solar power (CSP) that can operate in a wide range of temperature (100°C-1000°C) without freezing and decomposition.
- To design innovative CSP system based plants operating with this new HTF and to derive cost estimation.
- To promote the development of this innovation.
Step1:
First of all we purchased and make a parabolic dish ,then plot refectable mirror on it to concentrate light on a point to produce heat
Step2:
Then take a cylinder (which have a way of inlet water and second way is to emit steam) with stand whereas the stand have specific hight to reached at concertated point also have a heat obsorbing plate on cylinder to take maximun energy.
Step3:
Then couple the alternator with the turbine to generate the electricity. The steam provide by the cylinder will in turn used to drive the generator.
Benefits of the ProjectConcentrating solar power has several advantages over PV, including the following
- Higher efficienciey
- lower running cost
- An inherent thermal storage capacity that enables power generation during cloud cover or after sunset and a better hybrid operation capability with other fuels to meet base-load demand at night.
- First, we will purchase hardware to build the parabolic dish. Next we will plot refectable mirror on the dish to concentrate light on a point to produce heat
- Then we will use a cylinder (which have a way of inlet water and second way is to emit steam) with stand ,the stand have specific hight to reached at concertated point also have a heat obsorbing plate on cylinder to take maximun energy.
- Then couple the alternator with the turbine to generate the electricity when steam provide by cylinder and the turbine will move with the help of steam.
