Project Area of Specialization Artificial IntelligenceProject SummaryThere are emerging number of vehicles growing day by day on the roads of Pakistan and people have to manage those cars in case of failing of engine, car body damaging, flattening of tyres, rim problem, gear locking, minor or major accident of car which force vehicle not to start functioning more and tend to stop immediate where the problem has been occurred. Our application will provide Tow service or mechanic in case of emergency. Actually, the user of application will share location of exact place of his/her problematic vehicle so the nearby service provider will come and handle those problematic cars/vehicles to appropriate workshops or other relevant stations.
Time and money wastage of vehicle owners if they encounter above mentioned problems, wastage of money for booking non registered and other local towing trucks with no guarantee to reach out at certain time.
A cost effective and responsive MVVM architecture based android application which will bridge the gap among vehicle owners, workshops and mechanics. The application will register the maximum towing stations and mechanics in specific area including off-road and city towns etc. The application will locate the exact place where problem occurred with vehicle using GPS and will capture the location address. The app shall search for nearest tow with nearest and best rated service providers, will allow user to select category of trucks, Immediate mechanics, required to user. The system will allow user to chat either through application which will allow them to send pictures of incident took place with vehicle. Moreover, user can send network messages to send GPS address in case of unavailability of internet if internet connection fails there in while. The system shall further allow user to avail immediate help from mechanic in case of battery failing, tire puncturing, ending of fuel or any other short term problem that will be solved by one person in a very short while through roadside assistance companies. Application will be built with newly technology stack like KOTLIN, MVVM, Dagger etc.
Project Objectives- To automate the manual work of service providers and vehicle users
- To develop an android based platform which will facilitate car drivers by providing them access to suitable tow service providers and targeted mechanic services in case of malfunction
- To build the application using newly adopted technologies like KOLTLIN, Dagger (dependency injector), Fuzzy c mean clustering etc.
- To launch the application as commercial app to solve the current problems vehicle owners face while traveling.
- To create the more opportunities to new skilled workers who can register the application and start earning as immediate helpers
- To make more secured application so user can trust application while uploading credentials.
We will be using RUP which is rational unified process. It divides the development process into four distinct phases that each involve business modelling, analysis and design, implementation, testing, and deployment. The four phases and their deliverables are:
Inception
- vision document, initial uses cases, initial business case, project plan, one or more prototypes
elaboration
- revised documents of previous phases, software architecture description etc.
construction
- test cases and results, incremental product
transition
- Final product release, updated documentation
Sequence:
There will be two dashboards to be built. One is for user and other is for service provider.

Auto Tow application will be first application of its kind in Pakistan, being a developing country,
more software projects are needed to automate daily life. There is no such
application is available for mechanical and towing service for vehicles as there are too many
problematic and bumpy roads in Pakistan. Our application will help car users as well car
workshops to enhance the business through digital technologies rather than through manual
work. This will encourage people to use latest technologies in their business. This application
will also provide analytics as well which will work as feedback for the mechanic’s industry to
improve their service and help them decide what are best places to open up their new business
Technical Details of Final DeliverableAn MVVM based android application created using fuzzy c mean clustering, topic model LDA, dagger as dependency injector, dynamic cost Estimation (context recommender system), top rated vendor (semantic evaluation) which will be solving all the paper work of mechanics and workshop owners will be reduced so will be digitalized, maintaining the history of both users and service providers.
