According to the International Campaign to Ban Landmines, over 20000 peoples being killed every year by the Landmines. One million people have been killed by landmines. One person being killed in every fifteen minutes, and 30000 children are disabled because of landmines. Each day over seventy people are being killed with landmines, Afghanistan is most affected country by the landmines. Pakistan Army facing landmines in Waziristan in their operation against terrorists. Landmines detected by many methods. Last decade many searches have done by many scientist and researcher how to get rid of these lethal landmines or IEDs. GPR(Ground Penetrating Radar) is used to detect the landmines but it has many limitations. GPR ultra wideband radar provides centimeter resolution to locate even small targets. GPR operates by detecting the dielectric contrasts in the soils, which allows it to locate even non metallic mines. Unfortunately, this technology can suffer false alarm rates as high as that of metal detectors.GPR is not good in clay, terrain surface should be flat, radio and cellular network add noise in it. Another method That is used for landmines detection is ultrasonic waves in which emitted ultrasound waves are reflected at interfaces between materials with different acoustic properties, which could be used to create images of hidden internal anatomy. The disadvantage is that sound waves attenuate significantly at the soil-air interface.There is pulse induction metal detector which is need to be enchanced with ability to measure the inductance of the material (chemical used in landmines) that is enclosed in the metal
We are going to design a system which will help us to reduce the life risk while danger locating and landmines scanning & IEDs. It’s not easy to demining the landmines The main purpose of this system is to scan the danger from the lower altitude and show their location in proper form on a computer (Ground Station).It can autonomously detectect and detonate by droping the payload.Communication between hexacopter and computer will be done with the help of the special transmitter and receiver connected with flight controller and Pc or Mobile.
Project Objectives1.Design a hexacopter that can fly autonomously.
2.Design a PI metal detector that can detect the metal inductance and the material inductance that enclosed in the metal.
3.Retractable landing gear that give extra stability against air friction
4.Weather, battery and signal monitering for better accuracy of flight.
5.Flight Data log(The Black Box) that will enable user to collect the flight data,sensor fusion and malfunctioning error occur during flight
6.Improve endurance power.
7.This system can detect the landmines and detonate them by droping the payload attach to its lower end.

Project Implementation MethodOur proposed system extend the application of drone and its way of operation. We design a system which will help us to reduce the life risk while danger locating and landmines scanning. This model simply consists of the hexacopter that can operate autonomously at low altitude with the metal detector, this metal detector will be designed in such a way that it can scan the metal and detect that from a Lower altitude. When landmines will be detected its location is locked by gps,.Then it hover its position (altitude) and according to the projectile algorithm that is set up in external controller which trigger the servo in particular direction to drop the payload on landmines that will detonate the landmines. Communication between drone and computer will be done with the help of the special transmitter and receiver connected with flight controller and mobile or PC.Most of the drone is remotely control by drone pilots from safe distance ,we eliminate remote control that doest not consume human energy and time.
Benefits of the Project1.This project will be used for law enforcement agencies and civilian as well to search landmines & IEDS in an area near border and terrorist held areas. Pakistan is badly affected by terrorism and terrorist killed our high profile professional in IED (roadside landmines) blasts
2.It will search before any vip movement and clearence of the routes, detects the explosive in the route of religious processions and open door non-religious processions.
3.It will be used in guidance a of military and civilian peoples in remote area or terrorist controlled areas.
4.It will help the military to infiltrate in remote area by clearance of landmines in less time
5.This Sytem clear the landmines efficiently in less time with zero percent casualties (economical or humanity)
Technical Details of Final DeliverableThe Final deliverable will be prototype of autonomous hexacopter that is able to fly autonomously and search the landmines,after detecting the landmines its location is lock on gps and detonate by droping the payload .
