Project Area of Specialization Internet of ThingsProject SummaryThis smart pillow project will be app-enabled and sensor-based (IOT), Heartbeat sensors will give digital output heartbeat when placed on the body part. When the heartbeat detector starts working, the light-emitting detector (LED) blinks simultaneously for every heartbeat to show the heart rate and BPM value and also, we can view whole data on our mobile application, and in case of high and low heart rate and BPM values, we will get notification and the alarm will start ringing so that a person near to patient can take action and an alert message would be send to other people on their mobile app. Moreover, this system will also monitor temperature of patient with the help of temperature sensor. In another case if the patient wakes up at the middle of night or any time and sit then we will get notification for this purpose a pressure sensor will be used in pillow
Project ObjectivesIt is difficult for everyone to take care of patient by sitting in front of them forever because there are some other priorities also so with the help of this system the person can stay connected to patient and can monitor the health else well moreover our objective includes system designed which is comfortable for patient and update his family member via mobile app and alarm/notification alert. Both patient and his relative will have their own login system through which they will access the functions of mobile application.
Project Implementation Method
This pillow have some sensor like temperature sensor, pulse sensor, and pressure sensor which will give the readings when touches patients body part example neck etc. these sensors are connected to Arduino (the main component), all these reading will be send through Wi-Fi to mobile app, so that user (patient and relatives) can view the patient’s reading any time, not only reading but it will also indicate whether the patient is sitting or lying via pressure sensor, and will give notifications alert. Moreover, all the data of patient will be saved as history and we can view patient’s previous data at any time. live data will be displayed on screen connected to aurdino system
