The purpose of our project is to create an autonomous car which should be able to drive automatically without any driver in the urban area.This car just need a command from the user and the start moving towards the destination.The project is basically divided in two parts one is hardware and another is software. The software part based on Artificial Intelligence and the program for this car is in python language.Hardware consist on four modules each module run by  source code.We installed GPS system to track the car by this way user take his destination point easily.All the fuction of the car can be controlled by the Raspberry Pi module which also contain Pi Camera module.

Project Objectives

Main objective of our project is to run a car autonomously.

1) The first objective is to detect the obstacles .

2) Sign boards detection ( stop sign, left right sign)

3) Front collision avoidness.

4) Making decisions for the car (some like in around board)

5) Distance measurement 

Project Implementation Method

Autonomous car rely on sensors, actuator, complex algorithm ,machine learning system and powerful processor to execute softwares.Sonar sensors monitor the position of nearby car. Pi camera detect the sign board which contains traffic light ,and stop,left,right sign.

Benefits of the Project

The main benefit of autonomous car is to reduce the road accident because this car have all the traffic rule , the program by which the car run can't break the rule.

This car is time efficient because it give the shorts path to the driver through the GPS module..

It can reduce the manpower mean if some one can drive the he can easily do some other job like using leptop or mobile or eating some food. the main benefite it give relaxation to the driver.

when the traffic jam the car engine is off by pushing the break lever and by releasing the car start automatically.

Traffic light detection can also done by the car which can avoid the road accident.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

The car have one input module which contain the pi camera and sonar sensor for the front collisions and the obstacle detection.the pi camera can detect the sign boards and the distance measured by  the sonar sensor and these all function controlled by the processing unit which is Raspberry pi and it run by a program.

At the end of project we get a autonomous car which can drive automatically and safely on the road mean the car is intelligent and have the all the traffic rule.
