Project ObjectivesTo design the development of an intelligent infant care which has the ability to monitor infant movement, bed-wet condition and body temperature.To make the infant cradle safe and comfortable for infant using PR sensor to detect the movement of the infant body as well as bed-wet condition to keep the infant away from unhygienic conditions.To make cradle innovation that is more flexible and less expensive to market.User friendly, simple and complete with instruction.
Project Implementation MethodPIR sensor is used for movement of infant.Sound sensor is used to sense the sound of cry of infant.Temperature sensor is used to sense the temperature of infant body.In case the infant cry the microprocessor (Arduino or atmega 328) process it and send notification to application using esp8266 IOTData first will go to cloud and can be view any where in the world using application.In case infant cry a sound will also be generated to ensure presence of someone in the room and motor which will be attached to the cradle will start swinging the cradle
Benefits of the ProjectThe Project will a send reminders to the parents about approaching vaccination dates and feeding time of infant.
The whole system is compact and the important modules can be merged into a box kept aside from the sleeping bed of the infant.
The system is going to be 24 hour guardian of the infant with constant monitoring.
This Project can be used in hospital, orphan houses and for domestic purposes.
Technical Details of Final DeliverableHumidity sensing module for detection of wetness of the bed.A camera on the top of the cradle for live video capturing face expressions and cry detection circuit to analyze cry patterns.A speaker will be attached to cradle to entertain the infant.Microcontroller and all other hardware connected to the cradle and this monitor will send notification on mobile app accordingly.The moisture of infant will be detected by using humidity sensor that will send signals to microcontroller and a message will be sent to parents.
